Nobody is trying to prevent people from voting. What's trying to be done is balance the integrity of elections with ease and method of voting.

My mother who was 90 didn't have a picture ID. She hadn't a license for several years We had to get a birth certificate for her. Ironically her voter Party registration card (Democrat, of course) was one form of valid ID she DID have since she never missed an election.

 

I actually don't agree that everyone should vote. Stupid, ignorant people should not vote. One in six Biden voters said that they would not have voted for him if they were fully informed. Biden apparently had glowing numbers to start in his approval rating, and they are in the tank, with 34%, from about 60% to start, which means a lot of people were bamboozled into voting for him. Those people should not be able to vote. It cheapens the democratic process that stupid, ignorant people can nullify well-informed voters' votes. The reason why Democrats want more people to vote is because the ignorant people tend to vote for them, per the one-in-six number.

 

Democrats still ban free id's or id's via financial assistance for voting. Anyway, that's an ID problem, not a voter requirement problem. ID assistance should be federalized so that people can work, pick up their mail, drive, vote, drink, exist.

 

The only thing I would add to this perfectly reasonable post is:
All absentee ballots shall be verified and counted FIRST, and the numbers recorded, before election day results begin to be posted. No "just discovered" ballots will be allowed.
"Same Day Registration" is a euphemism for "vote buying", plain and simple. In fact, a 3 day voting holiday is a bad idea. IMO, for the same reason.
If you don't care enough to register, then sit at home and watch everyone else decide the direction of the country.

Yes because it would be unconstitutional for the federal government to interfere in state and local elections by making the rules. If you want more early voting in YOUR state or more open mail in voting then pass it in YOUR state.

I agree with you about counting the absentee ballots first, good idea. When I suggested a 3 day voting holiday, it was to accommodate the number of voters who would be going to the polls, and assuming it would include a weekend day. Everyone should still already be a registered voter, with the cutoff at least 30 days prior. No same day registration, ever.

OUR President didn't cause inflation or high gas prices, take a bit of time to study economics. But, even if he could was a magic wand it wouldn't solve the problem that some people don't actually have $30.00 to spare.
