I never thought the Democratic party could fall so far so fast. I figured after the turbulent Trump years, the Country would welcome to just chill under anything else. I've been watching the usual shows lately and whether its conservative FOX, who can't stop smiling or liberal networks like MSNBC, who are practically in tears concerning anything about Bidens term so far, one thing that's clear is the Democrats are in a world of trouble coming up to this years elections.

So, what happened? How did the so called middle of the road Joe Biden piss so many people off? I think it can all be traced back to how he got elected in the first place. His own party(especially the base) clearly is moving far left. During the primaries, at first, it was obvious that Bernie was going to get the nomination. Then, the party had an abrupt epiphany and realized Bernie probably couldn't win in the general election, so the party for the most part rallied around and got what they felt was a middle of the road and winnable candidate in Joe Biden. It seemed to be a marriage made in heaven at first as Biden did win. But the honeymoon was over fast.

Biden at best has the tacit support of the party, but the reality is not many in the party actually want him. Those in the middle were just happy to be rid of Trump and the base and special interest groups were just going to use him for the most part to further the far left and minority interests. So, now Joe having basically sold his soul to the progressives, the black caucus and whatever is the woke du jour cause of the democrats that day cant get out of his own way. Whether Biden its rambling on about endless spending packages. or supporting in any way defunding the police might be satisfying many of his base, but it is sealing the fate of a resounding defeat in Congress for the democrats come November. The reality is the majority of Americans want a President that is closer to the middle, I would argue more middle right. Biden and those that have the most influence on him are pulling him too far left and its likely to be ugly for them in November.

Democratic moderates, Manchin and Sinema are getting a lot of wrath from the left for stalling most of Bidens agenda, but the reality is if the democrats were smart they would realize that, thats where the majority of Americans want the Country to be.

I think the Democrats were able to unite behind Biden in the election because getting rid of Trump was the prime directive, everything else was subordinate, he was picked by the Black Church Ladies of South Carolina during the primaries, and it was Obama (PBUH) who phone called and pushed all the other Democrats out of the race a week later.

But the reality of Joe Biden as President is bleech. Particularly since the party pulled the wrong card for the VP and somehow has to figure out how to get rid of their BIPOC lady in waiting. In theory, they want a BIPOC lady in waiting, but not this one.

And of course, as usual, reality reacts poorly with Democratic policies. They don't usually mind but it's a lot coming at them at once.

Really, I see the opposite. The Democratic party has passed no progressive legislation whatsoever. In fact when I'm listening to Sean Hannity on the radio they are complaining about all the progressive legislation they are passing they are chuckling about how they can't do a damn thing. So I do not understand this narrative that Joe Biden is at the mercy of progressives.

Mask mandates are not progressive policies. They are emergency authoritarian measures. People conflate governance with political philosophy so readily these days like they are these immutable concepts and it's just stupid.

This is a democracy divided 50 50 leaving two teams in a close conflict during a period where communication technology is so prevelant that I am writing this on the toilet. Joe Biden is simply not up to the task of governing in this era.

That is the main thing that I'm learning right now. From here on out if your candidate can not effectively generate support online don't even bother. Because they are the ones who sniff out weak links now adays.

The democrats have always sucked. Their only hope was to villify trump on everything he did, didn't do, might have done, or might not have done so that everyone became hysterical because they believed he is a racist, bigot, sexist who must be voted out at all cost.

Trust me. Trump running in 2024 is their only hope.
