The OP is total nonsense. Physically impossible. I fail to see how anyone with a brain and a calculator could possibly be fooled by it.

While noting the utter hypocrisy of the Tangerine Turd and how sleazy it makes the entire syndicate family look. Rotten fruit lands at the foot of the diseased, withering tree.

The 5th Amendment covers a court of law. The court of public opinion, OTOH... 1584414807.5266-smiley.gif

    They are probably all guilty.

You don't overuse the 5th when you are innocent and have nothing to hide.

So, you're saying that taking the 5th didn't make those three people appear guilty as sin? 1584414801.3623-smiley.gif

I'm saying Leftists didn't give a crap about the optics until Eric Trump did it. If you don't like someone pointing out the ongoing Leftist hypocrisy at virtually every turn, then quit doing it.

    You're welcome.

It’s quite easily possible. Once it is clear that he is going to plead the fifth on every question, it can be very rapid fire. Just a few seconds between questions.

Fake News. Even assuming your unrealistic "just so" scenario:
    • They ask the question
    • He takes the fifth
    • 500 times in 6 hours
    • = 43 seconds per, non-stop for six hours straight.
Everyone with a brain and a calculator knows this is horseshit. Never happened. Yet another complete lie by the lying fake news. After five years of this crap, what's with the dewy eyed fawn act?

Yes, public opinion is often wrong.

What to you is "overuse"? That's rather subjective wouldn't you say? How about we just stick with one parameter meant to treat all sides equally. Which is "innocent until proven guilty".

I think that the Trunt Syndicate should receive the EXACT SAME CONSIDERATION that Papa Trunt gave the Central Park Five... 1584414807.5266-smiley.gif

Jabba the Trunt's pet Attorneys General had FOUR YEARS to bring cases. I wonder why they didn't? 1584414801.3623-smiley.gif

43 seconds is tons of time! The lawyer has all his or her questions ready to go, and the witness answers immediately because the answer is going to be the same for every question.
    As an example:
“I’m going to show you some documents that have a signature on them and I’d like you to confirm whether or not it’s your signature. Page 1875. Is that your signature?
Answer: I plead the fifth amendment.
Q: Page 1876. Is that your signature?
Answer: I plead the fifth amendment.
Q: Page 1877. Is that your signature?
Answer: I plead the fifth amendment.”
    Etc.

It could be just a couple of seconds between questions.

Just because you find it impossible, doesn’t mean it can’t happen. A 43 second average is easily achievable. Easily.

The 5th ONLY applies in criminal cases. One can certainly invoke the 5th in civil court, but - unlike in criminal cases - it CAN be considered as a factor in reaching a judgment.

The court of public opinion? You pay your money, you take your chances.

We're talking about criminal cases, not civil.

Rachel Maddow offers a nice little look at some of Trump's apparent financial fraud shenanigans:

Rachel Maddow looks at new court filings by New York Attorney General Letitia James that show the Trump family regularly assigning apparently arbitrarily inflated values to real estate assets in representations to insurance companies and banks, as well as in tax filings.

This is going to be epic, and it's just one of several investigations that are starting to bear fruit.

The thread is about criminal. If you're talking about civil then you are off topic and I have no interest.

By the way, it gets laugh-out-loud funny for me starting at around 5:00 in, when the reported value of the Seven Springs property magically increases over 3.6x over a span of ten years from $80 million to $291 million. A professional appraiser said it was worth a maximum of $50 million, but the Trump Org continued to claim officially that it was worth $291 million, and the basis for this valuation was a telephone conversation with --- dun dun DUNNNN! --- Eric Trump (9/24/2012)

Since when? It's about Eric Trump pleading the 5th over 500 times in the civil investigation into false asset valuations, i.e. the civil case.

Glad we can agree on something. How about start calling Trump by his name. Trump. I for one have never called Biden "Brandon" except in examples when speaking out against this type of incivility.

Now why should the fact that Beavis Trunt invoked the 5th around 500 times in a civil deposition matter? This whole thread is about a criminal case, ain't it? Too much nuance...

No. Trunt earned the moniker - one of the few things he actually accomplished himself. He's an honest Ho'... 1584414804.3941-smiley.gif
