He never said "Republican votes". What tape did you hear.
And Raffensperger took that to mean "find a way to throw out the ballots". One says one thing and the other says something different. Who's right? I don't agree with your assesment.
The commettee was formed in July, so less than a year old and to say they have no witnesses is false and then to say "witnesses willing to participate" is in your mind somehow proof of inocence. That's like saying Capone never had witnesses come forward against him. Who are you kidding with that?

Do you want to know what I think is just beyond bizarre? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway. ;-)

The same people cheering when a cop kills a black or brown person, claims to support Law & Order, don't believe a woman should be able to do anything about what's happening her womb, wants gay conversion, blame illegal immigrants for the rapid spread of COVID and variants, won't socially distance and think that privately-owned social media sites should not have the right to abide by their own "terms of use"...

DON'T HAVE AN ISSUE WITH ANY OF HIS CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR.

I can't even pretzel my brain to try to understand that.

How can you say you want them tough on crime WHILE DEFENDING THE BIGGEST CRIMINAL AND TRAITOR ANY OF US HAVE SEEN IN OUR LIFETIMES? Wt..?

In no way, shape, or form is this an abuse of power. It's the law doing what it does.

No. No, he's not allowed to be labeled "insane". Please don't do that. We don't need him getting off on a technicality that he wasn't in his right mind. Nope. He's sane, albeit stupid, lazy, evil and selfish, but not insane.

While I agree with your point, I call 'em like I see 'em.
A thought just occured.....should be a separate thread but......if he is SOMEHOW found to be insane.....could everything he did in his four years be reversed? Like the SC justices. People influencing a disabled person? He wasn't in his right mind when he made the choices.

He's infallible. Didn't you get your memo?

And, technically it is abuse of power. They are just attributing it to the wrong entities. Everything Orange Jesus does is abuse.

I KNOW!!! The same people that demonized Colin Kaepernick for not respecting the OUR Flag and were up in arms supporting "Blue Lives", beat the **** out of Capitol Police with OUR flag and put them in the hospital. :eyepopping:

Yep. He even molested our flag on stage and they loved it. He held up a bible for a photo op and he's an atheist.

It's kind of embarrassing that they don't mind being his bank account and bodyguards and he does NOTHING for them. Sounds kinda like a whore to me. Just sayin'.

ETA: Did you notice how they gloss over him inviting the Taliban to Camp David and turning his back on his own people that got arrested for 1/6/2022? Wow.

I've always found it strange that they don't even question why all these people feel the need to record their conversations with him. Notwithstanding anything else, we white collars know that means the other party is a pathological liar. But, frankly, I don't understand why anybody that's ever listened to him wouldn't already know that. My kids are not even old enough to vote and they know he's not legit.

The only conclusion is they don't want to know and/or they know and don't care (Stockholm Syndrome or something).

Georgia prosecutor requests special grand jury in Trump election probe

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Thursday requested a special jury to aid her investigation into possible 2020 election interference by former President Donald Trump and others. A special grand jury would have the power to subpoena witnesses.

Would psychologically impaired work for you?? ;-) As that dude is not "normal" by any stretch. The mere fact that he is still banging on about not losing the election / or the election was rigged.........is the first clue that he is delusional. That he can't accept a loss like a mature human being and continues to vocalize that for public consumption is another clue.

"Insane" works. I just want it stay under the radar so he and his shifty, equally disgusting lawyers don't try to sneak that in to get him a pass on his past.

No doubt he's crazy as a bat. And, "psychologically impaired" is offensive to people with psychological impairments. Even they are more put together than he is.

I have a neighbor that has schizophrenia and some other stuff misfiring in his brain. We have a community room and pre-COVID we could use it as needed. He and I walked over there to get a pot to make chili for our other neighbors. The door was locked on this side. He turned around and grabbed a chair from the lobby (a solid wood chair) and was going to smash in the big window. to get inside the room. I'm stronger than he was so I was able to stop him and gently suggest that he could just go outside, walk around that side of the building, unlock our screened porch and open the door from the other side. None of that even crossed his mind when he went ballistic about the door being lock. He didn't even pause to *try* to think of any option outside property damage.

There was a guy here about three years ago. One day, our maintenance guy went crazy because he came in and all the trash rooms were stuffed with trash bags. On every floor and on every wing. He went to check the security camera and found out that neighbor had tried to throw away the cushions for his couch down the trash chute. Yes, that geometrically impossible. He did it in every trash chute. So the manager talked to him and told him that wasn't okay. All good, right? Nope, he was ticked at her for telling him that was a no-no, so he spent the following weekend throwing away EVERYTHING in his apartment, ripped down all the artwork on the walls, all the brochures, all the books in our library, games, flat screen televisions and and even ripped out the cork boards. He literally destroyed everything so there was no way to just get it out of the dumpster.

The property manager saw the tapes the following morning and called the police. An officer showed up and tried to talk to him and he took off. The cop couldn't catch him so he called for back-up. Rinse and repeat. There were about 6-7 cops literally being outrun by a lunatic. It took them a good 20-25 minutes to catch him and get him down to be cuffed. His mother showed up and threatened to sue the manager for calling the cops on him and she "Go ahead." There were about 60 of us that witnessed it and she had the recordings from the cameras. Mom starts crying like the idiots that birth criminals and want to cry to the judge about her kid being a good boy/good girl. Yeah, good people don't commit crimes. So, they didn't allow him to come back and I doubt his crazy mother even tried to contact a lawyer. Come to find out, he went on that rampage because he was mad at her. In his head, when she bought him a new couch (when he trashed the cushions from the first one) he interpreted that as her taking management's side so he destroyed ALL the new furniture she bought him and everything not nailed down in the common areas in the building.

MORAL OF THE STORY: At this juncture, I actually consider both those guys more sane than Trump and they both were batsh!t crazy. I'm not even sure how that is NOT possible. He's way beyond any definition in the DSM.

You know what he said and you know what he meant. Now your just quibbling.

He didn't take it to mean anything and he didn't claim it mean anything other than what was requested.
Now you're just making up BS

Then maybe you should spend more time reading the information than you are making it up.
The prosecutor told Brasher that she needed help with her probe from a special grand jury because a “significant number of witnesses and prospective witnesses have refused to cooperate with the investigation absent a subpoena requiring their testimony.”

Oh My God, he posted something from CNN. Oh Lordy, it must be true.
All you ever have is smoking guns. When you have charges or indictments, you let us know.
Until then CNN isn't lending you an ounce of credibility. Laughable

And why did she request it.
Because a “significant number of witnesses and prospective witnesses have refused to cooperate with the investigation

Still, all you have is more blah blah blah with no teeth, no charges, no indictments, and not even a witness.
Most would be embarrassed to even post it.

Correct. So she needs a grand jury to issue subpoenas to compel testimony. For example, Raffensperger has said he'll comply with a subpoena but won't testify otherwise. Are you still confused?

Committee reveals new evidence in letter
In the letter to Ivanka Trump, the panel said its members want her to weigh in on details obtained through other witnesses. For example, they shared testimony from retired Army Gen. Keith Kellogg, the former national security adviser to then-Vice President Mike Pence.

Both Kellogg and Ivanka Trump were in the room when her father talked to Pence by phone the morning of Jan. 6, the panel said. Trump told Pence, "You don't have the courage to make a hard decision," Kellogg confirmed.

Kellogg also confirmed to the panel Trump made other remarks to Pence, along the lines of, "Mike, it's not right. You can do this. I'm counting on you to do it. If you don't do it, I picked the wrong man four years ago. You're going to wimp out."

The remarks came as Pence was being pressured by Trump to overturn the election's results — despite his ceremonial role to certify Biden's win at the Capitol later that day.

    https://www.npr.org/2022/01/20/1074397162/the-jan-6-panel-wants-to-talk-to-ivanka-trump

It's pretty impressive how much the committee already knows. Naturally they are seeking corroborating testimony. Will Queen Ivanka comply? Talk about a rock and a hard place.
