There are many point systems concerning COVID, used for various purposes.

Please cite the point system you are referring to.

I'm not sure what this means in terms of the question of evaluating risks of various subpopulations in order to more effectively target medical attention.

There is no doubt that any single individual could have an unexpected reaction to a disease or to a treatment.

Thats because it was intended to answer your question-

"Can you present the actual text of the policy you are claiming benefits those of color?"

And what it means is that if you have black skin there is no need to evaluate risk because it will be presumed that you are at higher risk.

I can't really respond until I see an accurate rendition of the policy in question, how broad it is, what all the conditions in the policy are, what agencies it applies to, etc.

That's why I've been asking for a cite.

I fully believe there are justifications for policy that targets particular populations.

ALL our policies that are aimed at helping those in need have serious limits in order to address need in a manner that is possible and reasonably cost effective.

Recent black immigrants from African countries like Nigeria and Liberia, and many others have no problem integrating into our culture and being successful. You know why? Because they take personal responsibility and don’t whine all the time about how unfair life is.

I'm impressed with how total bigots manage to come up with justifications for their hate.

Given this, surely it's justified to have the Republican party work to ensure that its significantly harder for them to vote.

So, you can’t refute my statement? I’m not surprised. Most fools here who think they know black communities don’t have a effing clue.

I don't find it effective to attempt to slow abject bigotry from any single individual.

And, it's sad to see you whine. Sort of.

I’ve lived and worshipped with more blacks over the last 40 years than you’ve probably met in your lifetime. Their lifestyles and work ethics would put you to shame. The only bigotry here is yours, and others like you, who think blacks need your help. Your white savior attitude is disgusting.

I am fully aware that bigots are usually oblivious to the full ramifications of discrimination.

And, as a response to comment on Republican assault on voting rights that targets those they hate, I am especially disgusted.

You want them to not be citizens and to LIKE that.

Does this attitude come from your religion?

This attitude that blacks are fully functioning human beings who don’t need the condescending BS of liberal whites? Yes, that comes from my religion.

I don’t want to come across as more angry than I actually am. But, it bothers the hell out of me when I hear or see arguments that are insulting to so many of my friends.

Did your Jesus not wash the feet of the harlot?

Did your Jesus not state that those who follow him, but don't search out and help those in debt, in prison, in hospitals are going to hell.

I assumed from your comments concerning worship that you probably have some relationship with those who accept the Bible, as that's the way those who believe in the Bible usually talk about it.

I could be wrong about that, of course.

    You’re not wrong, I am a Christian.

In an earlier post you accused me of being a racist, and you mentioned a Bible story of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. I guess that was to imply I didn’t believe in, or wasn’t familiar with, that behavior. But, I am familiar with that intimate expression of love and service. Each year for more than 30 years in our majority black Connecticut church we had a Maundy Thursday service where we participated in the washing of each others’ feet.

I'm familiar with that service. And, of course that is a model of how Jesus treated those who didn't even slightly accept his beliefs or join his following. It's not a model of how one treats others who believe exactly as you do.

In Matthew 25:31 to end Matthew states that Jesus tells his following that their duty includes finding those who need support, searching debtors prisons, hospitals and prisons, and giving them the support they need.

According to Matthew, Jesus says those who fail this requirement, though they are his followers, will find themselves in hell with Satan.

Thats why I just copied and pasted the text.

Actually, you asked for the text, not a cite. You work so hard to maintain your willful ignorance of the topic, I'll let you wallow in it.

Because you are an advocate of racist CRT policy. Men are more at risk than women when it comes to Covid. Would you support the same preferences for men?

No, I do want a cite. I know you have made statements concerning the content, but the real issue is what is actually in the text.

The claims being made concerning this direction are numerous and they rarely tell the full story.

In fact, given our government and the nature of this issue, I don't believe that the policy could be made short enough to put in a post on this board!

    Thanks!

I see sickle cell disease mentioned in this emergency use authorization.

Is that what you are referring to?

I've scanned the full document and don't see other places where minority patients would be benefitted over others due to their minority status.
