    It's easy to explain.

NY had a serious spike in the beginning. Which is where most of the deaths are from, ie prior to the vaccination. However with safety measures in place, NY's death rate has been relatively stable over the long term. Which remember was the whole point. To stop the curb. Texas on the other hand..? Well... they don't. You can see this with the relative number of spikes. So they're overwhelming their hospitals with the number of spikes. Resulting in more needless deaths. While Texas might have fewer deaths per million on average, once you take out the huge spike in the beginning, NY is clearly resulting in fewer covid deaths.

And on a side note, if you look at the county level in both Texas and NY, you would see red counties more likely to have higher covid death rates than their blue counterparts.

New York has had more deaths than Texas every day this week, and damn near every day this year.

Considering the prevailing narrative that vaccination decreases your chances of dying, that shouldn't happen. Combine that with the heightened levels of restrictions New Yorkers must endure, it really shouldn't happen.

That is, if you blindly trust what you're being told. Bill Maher said it best. Florida never shut down, and they've done better than New York.

Third most in the country yesterday son, and more than 40x the number of deaths in "unvaccinated and open" Florida.

They were up over 400 on Tuesday. Texas hasn't touched that number since September, and everything is open here.

It's also worth noting, New York's higher death numbers are combined with a myriad of poor economic indicators. Most states, like Texas, California, and Florida have either one or the other. Florida seeing a higher death rate than California, but the trade-off is they're letting their people live.

New Yorkers are leaving the house carrying their papers, if they can even leave the house at all, and still getting sick and dying in nation leading quantities.

Tighter, more confined space vs. more wide open space might be a factor. I don't know nor worry about it.

NYC has a very dense population, living in very poor and shitty conditions.

simply cannot compare to warm and outdoorsy Florida.

did I also mention its winter???

    The CDC link above.

New Yorkers have had an excuse for why they've handled the pandemic worse than any other state since it began.

You're absolutely right though. Florida is different than New York. Which is precisely why we have state governments. The one size fits all response Joe Biden and the Democrats want to impose on the entire country probably isn't appropriate.

if Florida, NY and Texas all have the same number of current Covid cases, AND the same number of people are dying, than you may have a point.

Hmm, looks like NY has less daily deaths than Florida and Texas.

I guess the vaccine is working.

You should post your number. Is it some HUGE number? Because most logical people will take a similar death count if you are actually free and the economy isn’t devastated? A fairly insignificant difference in deaths is a worthy trade off for 100s of 1000s of ruined lives, blight and economic destruction.

:confuse:' ~ Strange statistics coming in showing some areas the vaccinated are showing more serious symptoms. They also may be more susceptible to infection. Will wait to see the final outcome ...

I can't imagine why people live in such places. Even thinking about it makes me break out in a light anxiety sweat.

Ever been to Sth Vietnam? Bangkok? Tokyo?

Dense population and 'shitty conditions' are not the problem. Behaviour is the problem.

People in some of the densest cities on earth (in Asia) have not had COVID anywhere near as bad, and their 'shitty conditions' in many cases, are signicantly shittier than those of NYC. The difference is that they don't behave in ways which increase risk. They spend a LOT more time outdoors, and they don't occupy shared spaces in the same way Westerners do. There are other important differences, too .. but just these two alone make a massive difference.

Of course silliness like this could be the other reason . . .

    https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/nypd-man-shot-officers-dies-coronavirus-70941694

He was shot seven times but it was the CPP-Fauci virus that got him . . . :roflol:

Speaking of 40 times, One American Life Insurance reported in December that deaths from all causes have increased 40 times in the last 3 quarters of 2021, the year in which the clot shots were pushed.

Are you trying to cite the unvaccinated for overextending hospital resources?? Why don't you also cite worrying about number of cases, testing everybody all the time, mandating numerous boosters, et. all, as overextensions of hospital resources?
