    Sigh...

    I'll help you out.
    https://www.britannica.com/topic/critical-race-theory
"Critical race theorists are generally dedicated to applying their understanding of the institutional or structural nature of racism to the concrete (if distant) goal of eliminating all race-based and other unjust hierarchies."

Now since this Bingo card is focused in on race and sex. (there are cards for both white and male and straight) then it's coming at privilege through the lens of race.

    HOWEVER.

Being black can also be a privilege.
Being female most certainly can come with privilege. (not on the card. black people do come in both genders last I checked)
Being smart is a privilege. (black people can be smart...not on the card)
Being tall is a privilege...(black people can be tall...not on the card)
Being athletic is a privilege...(black people are certainly athletics but shocker, it's not on the card)
Being intelligent is a privilege...(black people certainly can be smart...woops! Not on the card)
Being motivated is a privilege...(again black people can be motivated...yet...damn. Not on the card)

These traits are but a few that we are born with. One or more. They will effect your outcome far more then being black. Or being gay. How we use these privileges are going to determine your outcomes. But none of this is on the card. Because the card is bullshit.

A tall athletic black man is VERY privileged. A beautiful attractive black woman can easily score on tiktok making 30 second clips of her carrying beer bottles with her ass cheeks. Again. privileged.

Having the social reputation of having big dicks certainly comes as a privilege when dating.

So call the bingo card for what it is. This is ABSOLUTELY downstream from CRT. It's so ****ing painfully obvious. It's privilege through the lens of race and gender and sex, creating "unjust hierarchies" that as I've just demonstrated, are clearly both bullshit and offensive.

Being simply tall is going to net you a far greater privilege in our society then whatever race you were born.

Apparently, holding values that promote success is privilege. Instead of promoting things like marriage before children and remaining married, having faith, and being financially secure are "privileged" which is really just a way of excusing failure. Instead of promoting these things, instead we make people that have them feel bad, normalizing NOT doing them.

    So backwards. Always so backwards.

How about, rather than making kids feel bad for "privilege", we make the parents who didn't plan well, made poor choices, and have negatively impacted their kids lives feel bad?

Why are we normalizing poor choices and criticizing good ones?

According to this card, I’m an underprivileged minority. I’m doing quite well for myself and think clogging kids brains with this BS is just wrong.

    @LangleyMan
You claimed there is no CRT in schools just last week. Explain the phenomenon please!

Whatever it is - it exists and it’s ridiculous. These things should never be in schools.

Call me old school, but it sounds stupid. Heterosexual, Homosexual, and Transgender are definitions that properly define sexual preferences. Cisgender is just straight, and straight is heterosexual.

I thought most people would know the difference between sexual orientation, IE, the sex one is attracted to vs what sex one actually is.
But anyway, heterosexual means one is attracted to the SAME sex.
Cisgender, means one is the sex that they are the actual sex they are biologically. And not one that is trans.

Cis and Trans are terms that are defined.

Transgender has little bearing on the sex one is attracted to.

The game is about privilege. Did you see the square marked White?? Do you see a square marked Black? So it is about white privilege. It is not exclusively about white privilege, as other squares include other things liberals believe convey an unfair advantage.

Now since I answered your question please answer my question. Does this sort of thing belong in a public school system in your opinion and if so why?

It depends upon what you're talking about. The bingo privilege thing is stupid. Hell, bingo is stupid.

Students deserve a serious look at the question of "privilege" because of claims around its existence. The bingo board presupposes privilege exists. It's inappropriate for that reason aline.

Being more fortunate of being born to a married couple has nothing to do with any privilege. Being employed is not privilege! They are demonizing success!
I was raised by a single mom. Immigrated when I was a teen over 20 years ago. Now I earn a six figure salary working remotely. How do you think I did it? By whining about Americans not learning Ukrainian language? By whining about rich people? No - I had to learn the language, go to college while holding a full time job, and continue learning and exploring new things to this day, many years after I was done with school. This victimhood BS in schools is literally creating crybabies, while other countries invest into teaching math and real sciences to their kids because they understand that the next generation will work and will compete with Americans for good paying American jobs. These policies will literally result in a huge number of Americans being unemployable due to being outcompeted by professionals from other countries willing to work hard for American salary.

We grew up at a time when people didn't even talk much about homosexuality. Times change.

    Disgusting.

Fairfax County Public Schools are heading BACKWARDS.

When I was a student there we weren't segregated into groups or taught to think like racists and Marxists.

Our new governor has some "progressive" trash to take out....

I did. I also way 23 other squares with a different name.]
Yet the OP decided it was a white privilege bingo game. That doesn't seem to be the case at all and is outright misleading.

I think the way it was worded could have been better. Or taught in a different manner.

But there's nothing wrong with teaching about how some groups have fared better over the history of USA simply by being born in a certain group. That discrimination was a large part of history.
Call it what you want, luck?

All of this is exactly what older students (especially senior high school) should be considering. What constitutes "privilege?" Who has it, if anyone? How was it conferred? Should we do anything about it? I can think of a lot of questions.
Young people are forward-looking and flexible. If they're shown how they can succeed and their teacher shows confidence in them achieving realistic goals, most of them will "go for it."
Most teachers—indeed, the vast majority of them—do not promote crybaby thinking in students. What teachers do, however, is push for opportunities to succeed. Some of the people who don't care are too quick to interpret what teachers push for as "whining."

Which means the source of the article is flamebait and a lie. Not a trustworthy source to be so dishonest.

Apparently, Fairfax schools did a poor job of imparting critical thinking skills because you've bought the BS about your former hallowed halls teaching CRT.
He should take out liars by resigning.

Lol how come you folks never teach the first legal slaveowner in the us was a black man who sued for the right to keep his indentured servants indefinitely?

Moreover, how about we teach which groups are discriminated against today and which groups have privileges.
