    I believe hospitals would need to isolate a Covid patient, even if that patient was there for other reasons, so your breakdown is meaningless.

    I'll tell ya what's meaningless;

    FOX NEWS

    CDC Walensky; "In some hospitals that we've talked to, up to 40% of the patients who are coming in with COVID are coming in not because they're sick with COVID but because they're coming in with something else and have had COVID or the omicron variant detected," she said

    IN SOME HOSPITALS that we've talked to
    UP TO 40% of patients who are coming in with COVID........

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/walensky-sotomayors-pediatric-covid-hospitalization-number-off-96-5

    AND THEN, the idiot Tapper;

    '' But if 40% in some hospitals''....blah blah blah

    HOWEVER, to Republicans, Walensky's ''In some hospitals, up to 40%'' are very trusworthy and meaningful info.

    Because it makes sense! You come to a hospital with a broken foot and asymptomatic Covid and they’ll have to isolate you and treat you in their infection unit, which will result in you being counted as a Covid patient. Stupid policies and mass hysteria created this positive feedback loop!
    Did Covid stop people from getting into car accidents, or getting sick with diseases other than Covid? And if all hospitals test everyone for Covid before they admit a patient, then, obviously, you’ll have a huge number of Covid patients who showed up at the hospital for reasons other than Covid. Covid is asymptomatic in a very large number of cases, so this indiscriminate testing and reporting definitely extorts the reality.

    In addition to the above, how can anyone accuse Virginia's DoH Officials of misleading the public based on the following info;

    ''Total Number of Currently Hospitalized Patients confirmed positive for Covid19. EXCLUDES confirmed patients whose primary diagnosis is not Covid19.

    3,500

    Anticipated response from Republicans; ''They are lying, and their info is meaningless''

    Once again, most State's DoH have been reporting their number of ''hospitalized DUE to Covid''

    Example;

    State of Virginia

    ''Total Number of Currently Hospitalized Patients confirmed positive for Covid19. EXCLUDES confirmed patients whose primary diagnosis is not Covid19.

    3,500

    How about number of patients who are diagnosed with Covid but have a different primary diagnosis?

    Exactly. The hospitalization data is meaningless unless it can be used to protect and/or alert those who are most at risk. But we already know that. Any deviation from what we already know is meaningful. Reporting on what is already known is meaningless in that nothing is learned from that reportage.

    1. We don’t have a daily national number of patients who tested positive, and were/are currently hospitalized for other reasons than Covid.

    2. But we do have a daily national number of patients who were/are currently hospitalized DUE TO COVID

    3. Hospitalized WITH Covid combines 1 and 2

    Question; Which number do you want the States to report?

    a. currently hospitalized WITH Covid

    b. currently hospitalized Due to Covid

    QUESTION: To whom, and why 49 state's DoH have been reporting their number of in-patients, and hospital capacity data on a daily basis?

    The age groups and “CDC” defined preconditions of patients hospitalized who have Covid infections. That would be useful information which would clearly show which people are at risk. Also the percentages of those same groups which recover and are teleased from hospitals and the average hospital stay duration.

    I wonder if there is any financial remuneration to facilities that over report?

    The useful information you are seeking......

    a. Have been reported
    b. Are reported
    c. Should be reported

    .......by the state’s DoH

    Also, the CDC only collects/compiles data that are reported by the states.

    In addition, find me one useful information you are seeking from the State of Florida......good luck!

    Meaningless due to the fact that a majority of your Republican brothers and sisters don’t trust the CDC.

    I believe that there is some type of extra compensation from the federal and state governments for Covid treatment. I don’t remember the exact details.

    Florida’s policies are informed by the CDC precaution guidelines. It is the responsibility of each individual to inform themselves. It is also the responsibility of the media to truthfully inform the public. .

    Again, in reference to; “We were misled”

    PART ONE......

    On January 10th, 2022, Rueters tallied up the current number of in-patients WITH Covid at 136,604, thus, a record high.

    In this forum, several Democrats jumped off their rocking chairs, and posted Rueter’s record high number.

    Note; I didn’t buy it!

    Note; The previous record high was 132,051 set in January last year, and back then, “Covidtracking.com” was our main source of “Currently Hospitalized”, and their definition of Currently Hospitalized; ..Number of individual currently hospitalized WITH Covid19

    Thus, a record high indeed.

    Note; Covidtracking.com stopped reporting in March 2021.

    AND THEN, Carlson’s Hospitalizations Tracking Project took over their reportings, HOWEVER, with the following adjustments;

    a. We will only report the number of in-patients hospitalized Due to Covid

    b. We will also exclude Probable/Suspected

    Results;

    Rueter’s Jan 10 tally; 136,604

    15 days later.....

    Carlson’s Jan 25 tally; 134,475

    Note; Back in March 2021, I asked myself this question;

    How come Carlson’s Tracking Project reduced Covidtracking CH number by near 40,000 in-patients???????

    ________

    Next, PART 2

    Testing low risk individuals is meaningless. The numerator is the important number. The goal is to reduce the numerator. The goal should not be increasing the denominator.

    Your general statement contradicts “How to protect our most vulnerable”, thus, rationally, we still have to test our Hospital, Nursing Homes/LTCFs and Old Age Home’s workers/staff/employees.

    Part 2.....”We were misled”

    In several forums, knowingly or unknowingly, how many times Democrats and Republicans have misled each other?

    For example;

    In response to several DeSantis/Florida threads....

    One PF member furiously stated; “Why you folks keep attacking DeSantis and his policies, and ignoring the fact that California has the highest number of Active Cases in the country, source; Worldometer”

    Question; Did said member knew that Worldometer’s Active/Recovered Cases have been inaccurate/misleading since the beginning of the pandemic?

    In fact, Worldometer has now removed (N/A) near 20 State’s Active and Recovered cases, including California, and their definition of Active/Recovered Cases clearly explains their inaccuracies.

    And of course, I knew that.

    Let’s continue

    Part 2.....”We were misled”

    Here’s an example of a Partisan musical chair game;

    Question; Would a Republican create a thread about Florida’s record high Covid Cases, Hospitalizations, and Deaths?

    Answer; Of course not, but a Democrat would enthusiastically create one.

    AND several months later......

    Thread title; “Florida now has America’s lowest COVID rate. Does Ron DeSantis deserve credit?

    _______

    We can all agree on the fact that the numbers aren’t accurate, however, Covid’s upward and downward trends have certainly been accurate.

    For example; Florida’s Hospital Association Data

    Anticipated response; “Yeah, but FHA only reports number of in-patients WITH Covid”

    I know, but considering the fact that since June 2021, Florida DoH stopped reporting pages and pages of Hospitalization Data, such as; Ages and preconditions of their hospitalized Covid patients........which other entities have been informing Floridians?

    Answer; FHA, and the media.

    Next, FHA’s reported upward and downward trends, mobile.twitter.com

    Dec 27, 2021

    COVID19 Confirmed Hospitalizations; 2,075

    In-patients WITH Covid19; 6.3%
    ICU Adults WITH Covid19; 5.6%
    New admissions; 533 Adults

    Jan 13, 2022

    COVID19 Confirmed Hospitalizations; 11,207

    In-patients WITH Covid19; 24.1%
    ICU Adults WITH Covid19; 23.1%
    New admissions; 2,119 Adults

    Jan 25, 2022

    COVID19 Confirmed Hospitalizations; 10,417

    In-patients WITH Covid19; 24.4%
    ICU Adults WITH Covid19; 24.9%
    New admissions; 1,351

    DOWNWARD Trends;

    Looks like New Admissions and Currently Hospitalized” have trended down, however, still too early for a confirmation.
