Is it? 300ish people a year are killed with a rifle out of 300+ million people. That is pretty low. How many places after the decimal would you have to go before hitting the first number other than zero? I don’t disagree that we have people killed here that may not have been in another country, but that’s the thing, freedom isn’t free. Here, having a firearm is a civil right no different from any other. It is up to the individual to be responsible with their rights.

Our advertising laws are different than yours for sure, but those types of advertisement are used across a wide range of products in the US and do not pertain just to guns. They are certainly not advertising to buy a gun and go shoot up a school.

 

Yeah and most of those countries are active war zones or third world dictatorships run by drug cartels

Edit* sigh I know you won't read the link. Remington went bankrupt in 07 and was snapped up by a private equity firm that lessened quality control and increased prices, running an already ailing company in to the ****ing dirt.

No. Some of them are. Not 'most.' Frankly I'm surprised at such a level of blatant, conceited nationalism and bias stereotyping toward other nations, might as well just call them 'sh__holes' *gasp*! (j/k, thats mostly sarcasm... ;D ) But even if it were true, its demonstrative either way of the fact that murder is not caused by firearms, and more restrictions on firearms does not reduce murder. It may reduce murder by firearms, but that doesn't mean a whole lot to the folks murdered by other means, nor should it to anyone else who is concerned about honest attempts at reducing murder.

yeah America IS doing better than many places that have made guns effectively inaccessible to all but the criminals.

The walking human feces that stabbed an Asian woman to death in her apartment has 44 arrests on his record.

You will try to blame guns. Blaming guns for violence is like blaming spoons for Rosie O'Donnell being fat (she is an outspoken anti-gunner who never travels anywhere without her armed bodyguard). Take away our guns and we will find other ways to kill each other. Luckily, the real violence is by and large limited to the throwaway people. So-called because the politicians who kvetch and kvell and tilt a windmills pretending to be oh so concerned about "gun violence" when 20 white kids are murdered in a mostly-white suburban school do not give a squirt of cold piss about the 50-60 black kids who were murdered the same week in Chicago, Detroit, Philly, Oakland, New Orleans, Houston, East St. Louis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee... So if you avoid areas inhabited by throwaway people, your odds of being a victim of violence -- firearm or otherwise -- drop dramatically. The statistics you glibly cite can never account for that.
