I know the "Green friendly" Biden administration surely put a mask recycling program in place as soon as they took over in Jan 2021......Didn't they? I for one am waiting with anticipation of it's rollout after getting it ready for the last 13 months it's due out any minute. How odd that it doesn't even seem to be on the White Houses radar yet....

Since we do not recycle any plastics and China no longer allows us to send it there, I wouldn't recommend holding your breath in anticipation.

I've kept mine since the start of the pandemic. It's unwashed, it smells, it's surely infected with all sorts of ****.

Doing my part for the oceans.

Yup. Trash is a problem. Has been for generations now. This is just a new iterative of the problem.

They're probably not easily recyclable (due to mixed materials and infection issues) but if they were, why would it require a special program? You just need general recycling programs that can support any and all recyclable materials. Of course, they need to be supported, funded and implemented without being blocked for partisan political reasons.
