US complicity (as opposed to earlier indifference) in Iraq's use of chemical weapons in the latter stages of the Iran-Iraq war (circa 1987-1988.), comes across very clearly from the following facts:

1- US maneuvered to table any UN resolution to condemn Iraq's use of chemical weapons (others did the same)
2- US defense officials over-rode some dissenting voices arguing against the US continuing to provide battlefield intelligence to Iraq in light of the fact that Iraq had previously used the intelligence to unleash chemical attacks
3- the US in fact provided Saddam critical battlefield intelligence used by Saddam in his chemical attacks.

All of the above is a matter of public record and/or can be established reference to even "sanitized" declassified US intelligence reports. If there is any of the above 3 you dispute, let me know and I will give you the facts.
