Both parties are the problem, as they are designed to keep the country divided. They both condition their base into viewpoints that are diametrically opposed, and brainwashed into thinking the other party is their enemy, instead of the politicians that keep us divided. Neither party really stands for anything except their own power and wealth, that’s why both parties keep accusing the other of flip flopping on issues. Both accuse the other of being anti American, or anti freedom, or whatever. And most of the time the issue that is being argued about is such petty BS.
As far as communism is concerned, again, both communism and capitalism are garbage. They both ultimately funnel wealth and power to an elite few. That’s why we have been brainwashed to believe for so long that those are the only 2 possibilities, or something along that axis. There are infinite ways to organize an economy. My personal favorite economic model is doughnut economics, and other sustainable zero growth economic models that take into account our present realities.

Reading the quotes from our founders, I find that their idea of freedom of speech is to exercise our higher faculties, not going unchecked into outright filth and arguable incitement. Implying that someone is in the Klan and deserves to be slapped, it can be argued, does not fall within the parameters set by our founders.

 

Did you read what you quoted? Lets just look at Benjamin Franklin. "Without freedom of thought there can be no such thing as wisdom; and no such thing as public liberty, without Freedom of Speech. He is arguing exactly opposite what you are saying. You are saying we have to apply limitations on what we express. Franklin is saying the opposite. He says that if we are not free to say exactly what we want, then we have no liberty! How does that work with your claim that we shouldn't be able to say what we want? Restrictions on speech limit what we think, as our minds will begin avoiding thoughts to stay out of trouble. That leads to a lack of Wisdom in Franklin's words.

 

You're a fool if you think that. Yes, they want more socialism, but definitely not communism. That would be shooting themselves and their wealth/power base in the foot. Both parties love the current economic model we use, as it makes us very easy to manipulate. If they tried to convert to communism, they would lose a lot of leverage on us, as we would own nothing nor be invested in anything that they could claim is threatened.

 

We already have a Democrat controlled country.... they already have the government agencies, MSM, and big tech blindly helping them... No true honest credible investigation into any. Communism 101...

You are hyperfocusing on the word "liberty" and hence taking his words out of context. Please note that he also used the word "wisdom," which qualifies his remarks. Surely, you would agree that implying a woman is in the Klan and should be slapped does not contribute to wisdom. (And don't call you Surely.) If he was arguing that freedom of speech is speech unchecked with no standards, he would have left that part out. and just said, essentially, "There would be no such thing as liberty without freedom of speech and thought." But he doesn't say that. He adds the word "wisdom," as free speech should be a mechanism to exercise our higher faculties for the better of society. Implying a woman is in the Klan and that she should be slapped is not for the better of society. Sorry.

 

You are putting words in Ben's mouth. He doesn't say **** about speaking wisdom. He said wisdom comes from free thought, and liberty comes from free speech. You trying to play mental gymnastics by twisting and saying "well, he really meant this" is how facts begin getting distorted and false messages begin getting thrown around based on things that were never said.

Keep it simple. Freedom means freedom. Period.
