Im absolutely certain that in 500 years, maybe a 1000 years, people will look back on our era with complete and utter disgust related to our legal acceptance of abortion. Im confident that it will be perceived as one of human kinds ugliest moments, right there with slavery.

With that said, I remain pro-choice so long as it occurs within the first trimester if for convenience and anytime if carrying the baby to term offers a threat to the mother.

I personally would never advocate that any woman i know get an abortion, but I also believe that making it legal full-tilt is not the correct answer.

In any case, I will be on the right side of history, and all these progressives lefties will be viewed much like southern democrats related to slavery. That I am sure of.

I am absolutely certain that the disgust will be more focussed on the lack viable options. You have a problem with abortion? Where is your support for maternity leave? Child welfare payments? Family support? Emergency housing?

 

There are lots of viable options.

This is a ridiculous argument. That would be like saying "you oppose people killing their parents? Well who is going to step up and take care of them when they need assistance? Financially? Housing?"

Being opposed to a morally flawed thing like abortion does not mean people must then assume the responsibility of the alternative. That's a weak excuse, and really quite typically liberal in which accountability is completely mis-guided. People are allowed to be support laws without becoming individually responsible for them.

He came from a very poor background and worked his way up to being a respectable fireman who saves lives and property. He should be a role model for others.
