Taliban divisions deepen as Afghan women defy veil edict

Not surprising the Taliban would do this. Also not surprising women would resist. But would world outrage be enough for the Taliban to backtrack:

 

The world does not care about the poor Afghan women.
The world cares about Ukraine... and when the war will end the world will return to care Only about the terrorist Palestinians

 

I wonder if the Taliban would compromise on a mask mandate, with especially large, black masks.

If the West speaks up just say it's a safer version of the masks we mandated here.

 

What about Al Qaeda and ISIS .. don't we care about them too ?! .. and the Terrorist Israeli's ..

Last time women "resisted" Taliban members threw acid in their faces.
Or the religious police went around in public sneaking up to unsuspecting women with giant flesh-pinching scissors that ripped little pieces of flesh from any exposed areas of skin showing on a woman's body.

 

We should fly in pro-abortion groups to support those women.

That's because it's the only place people that weak and useless can survive.

 

How does AIDS work? It destroys the immune system, leaves the body open and vulnerable to other diseases, even diseases that would normally be weak and powerless to be able to cause any infection.

 

According to the article there is division within the Taliban on these hard-line approaches. Hopefully things will sort themselves out and the sensible voices will be the loudest.

Sadly, Talibs can just become very brutal again and women will start wearing the burkas. I just hope that in the course of nearly 20 years of American presence in Afghanistan afghans learned to get used to the idea of women being equal and being able to learn and work. If large enough group of afghans stand up to this rule then they might have a chance.
