What was the song about chess?

It has been driving me nuts. About 1980 or so, pop rock, I keep thinking it was by Styx but I'm not seeing it. Supertramp? Don't see it. I remember lyrics that describe how chess pieces move. It was a pretty big hit at the time.

Thanks but that isn't it. I could have sworn it was done by Styx, I remember it having that kind of sound but nothing rings a bell.

The lyrics were slightly cryptic. For a long time I didn't realize it was about chess.

I don't see it. If I could remember one specific line I could probably find it. And it may be a bit older like mid 70s.
