A report from 22 years ago? That doesn't really prove your point. I was expecting something in the nature of statistics regarding gun laws vs crime rates for specific states or localities where gun laws have loosened, compared with the same for places where gun laws have become stricter.

Sounds like CS is suffering, a little, from the Ferguson affect. Every large city has been handicapped by the defund the police movement. Even if they didn't actually defund the police, which Colorado Springs tried to do, it sent a message to rank and file cops that they were under a microscope.

Be glad you can carry in Colorado Springs. Imagine what it would look like if you couldn't.

Enough already. No response required. Either you care about civility on debate forums, or you don't.

It would be much easier, if you care to do so, for you to look at your own list of posts. Find the ones where you start with phrases like "So, you <verb> ..." where the verb is believe, agree, admit, support, think, etc., followed by words related to the topic of that thread.

I'm simply asking you to stop pulling words off the keyboards of others. If you don't get it, or don't care. I'm fine with that.

You claim to know, yet when challenged, provide no link to where you got your information. The right's reluctance to prove ther claims never ceases to amaze me.

These "ignored by the media" crimes you're talking about are either figments of your imagination, or you read/heard about them somewhere. If not via media reports, then where?

Now who's dropping memes? What is the Ferguson effect?

No one defunded the police. Such a stupid slogan, typical of Democrats. There was a brief push to reorganize the department so that more resources went for things like better training and hiring for dealing with things like domestic disputes, mentally disturbed people, children being present, and so forth.

Imagine what it would look like if I couldn't carry a gun? What makes you think I do? I own a gun, but I don't carry it around with me, ffs.

I claim to know because I know! But I'm always amazed that those on the left don't ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I always wonder what drives the left to choose to be so uninformed. Then again true believers will go as far as follow the orders of folks like Jim Jones, Marshall Applewhite and Charles Milles Manson

    So there is that!

Again with the failure to provide even a modicum of facts to support your claim that the media ignores other mass shootings. I'm not surprised.

You accuse me of being uninformed, yet refuse to inform me. And you don't seem to see the hypocrisy in that. It must be a gift.

Yes! Poverty is a systemic problem, irrespective of race. Poor people share a set of common challenges, regardless of race. That's not to say that every single poor person's experiences are identical (they're obviously not), but to just dismiss out-of-hand the hardships faced by poor whites, as you seem to do in this post, because they're not black, is incredibly calloused.

It would be a fair observation that black people share some common experiences based on race, regardless of their income level, but essentially nobody cares about the micro-aggressions that the Obamas or Sharptons of the world are facing. They are wealthy and their lives and comfortable.

You confuse your own failure to know and you're demanding I provide you with elementary information you prolly already know but refuse to accept :)

In other words, go do it yourself, YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME ;)

How can I know things that you claim the media doesn't cover? Where else would I acquire this information?

You make no sense at all, other than successfully conveying your anger towards me.

Now you're getting it :) Simple. I don't subscribe to the media you and others like you do!! As to where you get your Swiss cheese and incomplete information is a problem you now know of ;)

You do know that there are other sources of information aside from "the media", right?

There are libraries full of books, many of which contain a wealth of information. There's probably one not far from your current location. There are scholarly journals that publish articles filled with information, most of which pass by without a single mention in "the media". There are organizations dedicated to various causes who provide information and research data on a wide range of topics, sometimes in printed form and others publish it right on their websites. They also don't often get publicized in the media. You could track down experts in various fields of scientific inquiry and ask them directly. etc.

I wish I had such luck.

Many of my fails, or fails of colleagues were ammo related. However, we've had blossomed barrels, broken slides (one broke and hit me in the head, mildly), locked cylinders (rare), and lots of spring related failures. Taurus for instance has such a bad quality control program it's considered nonexistent, but many normal brands shouldn't really have issues that aren't ammo related. Except limp-wristing a 1911 will yield FTE's, but that's about it. I did have a squib that barely left the slide out of battery once, and upon further inspection was caught in one of my Sigs, but that was due to trash range reloads and not snaking the barrel after 200 rounds.

I'd be a reload guy but that's just tedious and I'd have poor quality control after the first 25 rounds!

A report 6 years after the Dublin gun ban which supports what I posted. Violent crime, including gun crime, soars after strict gun control laws are passed -- even gun bans.

Did you think that predictable result would change over time? It did not.

THE GUARDIAN, Rise in recorded crime is accelerating in England and Wales, Police figures show offences up 14% in a year, with knife and gun crime rising even more steeply, Alan Travis Home affairs editor, Thu 25 Jan 2018.

The Inconvenient Truth: There was far less crime in the UK when the people were armed and its police were not armed.

Uh, poverty is poverty no matter what your skin color. Now you want to forget that blacks have WAAAAAY more free college handouts than anyone else, plus athletic scholarships. No, you people making up some non-existent race issue to assuage your own self applied guilt is an exercise in hilarity and endless excuses. "We" aren't the problem, a culture based on not becoming educated and idolizing gang rappers and having loads of kids with no father is the real problem. An endless string of excuses does no one any benefit.

LOL at you once again using decades old links that have been thoroughly debunked time and time again.

Let's try new data, you know a link from this century, how about 2022

    London
No London shooting deaths in six months as police say gun trade stifled.

LOL! 2018 is "decades old"? Read more carefully -- it helps. ;-)

I intended to quote your dunblane post, you know the one from last century, that has been thoroughly debunked time and time again. Now why don't you address the link I gave you which states that not one person has been shot dead in London in six months, which no doubt you will run away from and I'll wait for your next link from 1970
