It's time to get serious on the issue of gun violence

Or when the attacker ignores the laws and uses a gun in an illegal way.

i don't understand why responsible gun owners are not leading the efforts to keep firearms away from idiots like these mass shooters, many of whom are known to be nuts by friends, family, and local cops.

 

Well, as a science guy why don't we start with the actual people, statistically speaking, who are committing these terrible crimes? There must be a source somewhere showing who is doing these things so we can focus on the largest part of the problem.

Many? No, not many...lol. But whatever, because when ammunition is banned, the attacker will know your gun is unloaded and won't be the least bit intimidated.

 

So you want to try to establish law that access to firearms but no ammo satisfies the right to bear arms even though thats clearly against the spirit of what the constitution intended, and pretty much everyone will see it as the attempt to illegitimately undermine the constitution outside of the legal and democratic processes prescribed within. If it does work, I think you'll regret openning that can of worms when you find out which of your constitutional rights that you do appreciate can be similarly ignored on a technicality by people who dont like your rights.

Just out of curiosity, why are you not instead advocating that we try to amend the constitution to achieve what you view as reasonable in a constitutionally and democratically legal and legit manner?

 

Because criminals ignore bans and purchase limits and don't worry about taxes because they buy ammo illegally.
So in the end these types of things really only hurt law abiding citizens.

Now you have an entire generation who has no fear of authority, no respect for others including authority, teachers, or themselves.

The statistic is something like 1.5-2 million defensive uses of guns compared to 11K -13K homicides a year. Clearly, taking guns from people would vastly increase the number of homicides. As someone who is a proponent, and has used weapons to shoot non inanimate things, I'd challenge you to demonstrate this doesn't happen, as many of the recent shootings demonstrate otherwise that the good guy with gun actually did stop or circumvent the evils of those as you say are determined to kill.....

Replacement theory was developed and promoted by the DP party bosses to diminish the political power of black Americans.
Ordinary American Democrats who do not fear black Americans should know what replacement theory really is and where it comes from and oppose it.

 

Banning weapons doesn't do much when the creation of said weapons is relatively easy. Though the major reason weapons aren't banned entirely is because the people opting for a ban will end up dead by said weapons. Because the next step to any totalitarian step after the weapons are gone is thought control with the lovely NKVD/Gestapo black bagging people.

 

I have a better idea, let's get serious about criminals who use guns

 

10 year olds have been used to manufacture every kind of firearm from scratch in countries where the cost of name brand submachine guns, mortars etc is too high.
