1. Never in history has a gun killed anyone. They are inanimate objects.
2. There isn't a law you can make against criminals or manufactures that will stop a criminal
3. If you were truly concerned about people instead of just being anti gun, there are a lot more murders committed with items other than guns
4. Which means you prefer to be controlled by your government than the people controlling government

A simple look at the three mass shootings that occurred over the weekend, and only this one fits the narrative. Why can't we all be upset over the Chinese nationalist who shot up the devotees at the Taiwanese church again? Or the "mostly peaceful" shootings outside of the basketball arena in Milwaukee? It doesn't make sense, if all guns are bad, but aren't used by white folks...they just aren't as bad?

One wonders at the number of significant failures of liberal government here. Two of the three mass shootings happened in states that have really restrictive gun laws already. Neither of the two shooters should likely have been legally able to purchase a gun but because the liberal states aren't that great at records, well, they slipped through the cracks again, and here we are.

Why again wasn't the NY shooter in a mental facility again? He clearly has issues, and yet, wasn't institutionalized once he presented his psychosis in public? More, NY guns laws were supposed to not sell to flagged folks... Why wasn't dude flagged already? More, this one rants as an econazi, anti capitalist, how is this one a member of the republican party again?

Carrying a gun in New York City is outlawed, without a permit and only the rich and connected can get a permit. Tell us how that has worked so far at reducing shootings in NYC.

I do think CA laws are probably too extreme, but you can have a gun in your home still.

I agree. Unfortunately, mental health is viewed as a source of profit for companies selling pharma products that list "suicidal thoughts or actions" as side effects.

To answer your question, politicians exploit tragedy for the purpose of gaining/maintaining power. Thats why this one is getting media coverage while the other 2 are all but forgotten. The vast majority of murder is committed one at a time, but does not have political value.

I think the pressure should be on Domestic Terrorism. We'll see a bill going to the Senate regarding a new DOJ division focusing solely on that subject. Of course there was pushback and a lack of support from the GOP members of Congress.
