192 REPUBLICANS DECIDE THEY’D LIKE FORMULA-SEEKING PARENTS TO KEEP SUFFERING

Read my post again....If their formulas are significantly different. There are different 'formulas' in every country. One that is safe in Europe may well be safe in the US - but the difference in their 'formulas' might cause problems for some American babies.

 

No, you read my post again. The formulas aren’t different. We know this because they aren’t hurting their babies. Any of them. Special needs babies or otherwise. They have formulas for all of them. so figure it out.

My god, this is like arguing with someone who thinks the covid vaccine should have been developed like every other vaccine—in 10-15 years. Scientists figured it out and government got the hell out of the way with its regulations. Guess what? Biden admin needs to do the same thing now.

Mind you, your FDA has cut all sorts of corners with genetically modified food, so I don't trust it a bit myself.

 

Also, every country has their own biosecurity, customs arrangements and import requirements. I've never known it to be said:"oh that's safe in another country we won't bother with all our own analysis".

Well, the only persons I've seen thus far assert, as the solution for the baby formula shortage 'the women should breastfeed', are those on the right. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Only those on the right suggest we should do nothing. No, we should at least try and relieve the shortage.

 

We wouldn't be in the baby formula mess if it wasn't for Biden and the left's policies. I just read an article recently blaming Republicans for the spread of Covid a couple of years ago by keeping meat packing plants, etc. moving instead of locking them down, which helped put groceries on the table. Now, with a new Covid variant blazing across the country, democrats want to get the factories rolling for baby formula. Your level of hypocrisy is amazing.

If you had actually read the bill, instead of slurping up leftist propaganda, you would have known why even some Democrats voted against the bill.
It does NOTHING to provide more baby formula. Its a bill that gives Bidens FDA cronies, 28 million in additional salaries. Giving the FDA millions of dollars is not going to produce one ounce of baby formula.

If they really wanted to fix the problem they would lift all the new restrictions they put against the Sturgis, Michigan Abbott facility by the Biden FDA when they found no contaminates or deadly bacteria in their products.

There was no easing of restrictions by the FDA, there was no reopening plan from the FDA and not even an apparent awareness of the consequences of their actions until there was a critical shortage of formula but the loony left thinks giving the FDA 28 million will produce more baby formula.

Just maybe if you actually read the bill before regurgitating what you're commanded to regurgitate, we could find a way to produce more formula instead of dumping 28 million in salaries to the FDA

 

And it should not be. Congresscritters should be held to a work ethic - they are employed by the constituents to be a representative not arse around trying to play “king of the mountain”

Right back atcha. Clearly you aren't understanding my point, as you continue to drive your own point. I realize the European formulas are safe - they have similar regulations to the FDA. But switching formulas in babies is not a simple process - even if it is switching between US brands. There are different ingredients and levels of ingredients in the European formula - and not all American babies will tolerate the differences. Is that more clear?

I think it might be a GOOD idea to test the formula and make sure it does not contain melamine

 

We're not as "joined at the hip" to them as Australia is, might be the reason..

 

So the FDA gets 28 million to hire more people. So advertise for jobs, find candidates, conduct interviews, make choices, make job offers, negotiate job offers (and that's a LOT of jobs for 28 million), train and begin. Shouldn't take but 6 months or more. Hope no babies starve.

 

No, they actually read the bill to find out the entire 28 million goes to salaries at the FDA that doesn't produce an ounce of baby formula.
