Columbine changed the nation by showing the outcasts that they could get revenge and go out in a blaze of glory. All it would take is a student plowing his car into a bunch of kids, or making a homemade bomb, or resorting to acid attacks, and presto, you have a new trend. Getting rid of guns doesn't solve the problem. We need to work on the source of the problem and that's mentally ill young people. Guns are only a tool they often use. If you take away everyone's guns, these people will use some other way of killing or they find a way to get illegal guns.

 

How many kids do you want to die because YOU have a pool? Oh, you don’t have a pool? Well loads of other people do. Do you know how many die every year drowning in pools and beaches? How many kids lives are worth our freedom to swim?

Nearly 4000 kids die of drowning every year. More than 8000 are non fatal but many lead to long term disabilities. How many die from mass shootings? Not even close!!!! Want to take it further? 32000 people die in car crashes every year. How many people you want to kill in order to have the freedom to drive? Or should we all be limited to trains and buses? Or maybe we all just lock ourselves in our homes and we’ll be safe. Really safe. Just plug ourselves into the Matrix and never have to physically deal with other humans. So many lives can be saved that way!!! How much freedom are YOU willing to give up to save lives???
