What part of 'at one small point on the (approx 900K long?) confrontation line' translates in your mind to 'Russia winning'. Russia is not winning the war. It is winning one particular series of battles, at one small and geographically unique part of the battle line. A victory there does not translate into a Russian victory everywhere else! Particularly seeing as 'everywhere else' it has either lost ground or is stalled. And Russian is rapidly running out of first line troops, equipment and munitions etc with which to sustain its operations. In fact in order to 'win' in the sector concerned it's had to resort to World War 2 military tactics. Massed 'dumb' artillery barrages (no 'smart munitions left) covering advances by infantry on foot. Creeping forward a couple of kilometers at a time. Very 22nd century... not!

For the rest? Prices are going up for everyone. Also NATO has no land based nuclear missile systems anywhere in Europe, it hasn't since the 80's. The closest they come is small number of air launched bombs which are kept well back from the Russian border in order to limit the chances of them being lost due to a preemptive strike by Russia. So your completely wrong about this. 'Surrounding' Russia with short/intermediate range nukes is not part of NATO's nuclear strategy and hasn't been for decades. They don't need to. They have long range sea launch systems and America's own land based missiles for deterrence.

A land belongs to the people living on it, not to people from Lviv and Galicia, who want to ethnically cleanse them so they can covet their homes and wealth. The people in the Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson, etc. areas have a Russian national identity and all their rights were taken away when a fascist government was imposed on Kiev.

This is the reason the Ukrainian army is losing to a Russian force of only 200 thousand, when normally it would take an 800 thousand man army to dislodge an army as well fortified and dug in as the Ukrainian one was. That the nationalists from Western Ukraine are using the people in those cities as human shields and show such a callousness towards their lives, is because the neo nazis know that their affinities lie with Russia and certainly not with them.

The Hague said a few years back, that people have a right to their own self determination, so there is no way those areas will ever again be part of the regime that was imposed on Kiev with a coup. The longer the war goes on, the more people Russia will be able to free from Kiev's criminal control.
