Are you seriously comparing fertilization verse non-fertilization for your arguement?

We need to prioritize and improve mental heal treatment. I totally agree with you on that. But I will never compromise my 2nd Amendment rights to the degree liberals demand or turn in any of my guns to to placate liberals. People that turn in their guns to the state end up like the citizens of North Korea. The liberal shtick about common sense gun control, gun control compromise, etc. sounds good to some I guess. But not to me when, for example, I read accounts of Jews being rounded up and executed under the most horrific conditions by the Nazis and not even having the available option to die resisting. Or the millions executed by commie governments.

School shooting are terrible. Very terrible But more terrible is being defenseless against the consequences of a government with a total monopoly on firearms.

This quote comes to mind in various gun control discussions. Thankfully Americans have options other than axes, hammers, and pokers.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?

I agree, but for more than just guns and abortion rights.

Absolutely everything regarding public policy should be decided by a team of experts. We currently let the people who own a Congress critter decide public policy. It's not going well.

Please don't pretend that you are willing to accept anything less than infringement of law abiding citizen's rights. To advocate placing the government in a position of deciding who gets access to firearms shows that you do not understand the spirit of the 2A.

You are opposed to a required safety/training class? What possible reason could there be to not want brand new gun owners to understand how to use & store a deadly weapon safely?

Education is tyranny? Careful, you are proving to the liberals that republicans dislike educated people.

This post is incredibly ignorant. They used DNA because it's a more certain, and less traumatic for the family, way of identification than visual confirmation by a relative, not because there was so much "tissue damage" that they were "unrecognizable". What happened to those kids while the cops milled around outside makes my blood boil, but nobody is served by you spewing misinformation on a subject you're grossly ill-informed on.

"Powerful enough to end human lives" is true of pretty much every firearm. It's not a distinguishing feature of the AR15. It would be a bit like saying a Toyota Camry is powerful enough to run over a person. That may be correct, but not particularly noteworthy, and it highlights an apparent extreme lack of understanding of where the Camry /AR15 fits on the spectrum of "powerful".

Also, last I had heard, the youngest victim was 8. Has that changed?

I thought an AR-15 was designed more to "wound" than to "kill" because in war time, a wounded soldier was a much greater drag on the resources of an enemy than a dead one.

Lol…so how many unwanted babies have you adopted? How many orphans have you adopted from an orphanage?
Anti abortionists don’t give a rat’s ass about the unborn. They just want to force everyone else to kowtow to their prejudices.

Why should it have to be "distinguishing feature"? It is what it is. Now sure what you are even trying to argue here. That round was deemed good enough for the military for 60 years, and only now they are moving to 6.8mm round because it is more effective against body armor, which is now very common. The magazine will be 20 rounds as opposed to current 30 and troops will carry a total of 140 rounds as opposed to current 210, and even then the 140 will weigh more than the 210.

So, what is your point? Maybe mass-killers will start using the 6.8mm too. Will you be happy then?

I believe the argument back in the 1960s was that you could carry a lot more ammo because it was so much lighter, and it also had less recoil.

"A single round of 147 grain 7.62 NATO weighs . 853 of an ounce, so 100 rounds weigh about 5.33 pounds. A 5.56 M193 round weighs . 410 of an ounce, and 100 rounds weigh a mere 2.56 pounds."

Beto isn't offering anything lol. Pure partisan political posturing. Beto doesn't care about these kids, nor our rights, nor finding a solution that makes sense.

The reality is, Private security is the only answer that makes sense.

Lax gun laws? So how do you, better yet, what's your plan to stop criminals from acquiring and using firearms?

So how would you have kept the gun from this person or any other murderer when the southern boarder and the northern boarder are vast and hardly managed on EITHER side?

    Not to mention the seaboards..
