SNIP Charles Manson follower and convicted murderer Patricia Krenwinkel has been found suitable for parole, according to an announcement Thursday by state prison officials. Krenwinkel, 74, is California's longest-serving female inmate and was a participant in the 1969 murder of pregnant actress Sharon Tate by the Manson "family," among other killings carried out during the group's rampage across Los Angeles. Krenwinkel was sent to death row in 1971 after a Los Angeles jury convicted her of killing Tate and six others in the two-day rampage. After the state’s highest court ruled the death penalty unconstitutional in 1972, Krenwinkel’s sentence — along with those of other Manson followers — was commuted to life in prison with the possibility of parole. ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/manson-follower-patricia-krenwinkel-granted-011349713.html That name still sends shivers down my spine.... I remembered there was a minor PF.com kerfuffle back in January, when a similar (or the same) board granted parole for Sirhan Sirhan, which Newson ended up overruling... http://www.politicalforum.com/index...an-granted-parole-by-california-board.591559/ She's the longest serving female inmate in California.... I say she should go for a record that can never be touched... Does Newsom give this psycho old lady parole? If you say he should, I suggest you go read "Helter Skelter" and re-evaluate...
No real comparison (though) between the cases of Sirhan and Krenwinkel. Krenwinkel was a Drugged-Out Hippie Chick who went over the edge. Sirhan altered the course of history.
When the death penalty was taken off the table her sentence should not have included the possibility of parole!
Not comparing the 2 in history, just in parole possibility.... Certainly you aren't indicating her crimes are lesser from a criminal justice standpoint??
