    There are numerous African Americans — herein just known as Americans — with the names Tubman and Douglas so I will just assume you mean Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass. Both were abolitionists that pushed major social and justice reforms both within the law and for constitutional alterations.

    If their movement was occurring today evangelical conservatives would absolutely be against them. That would be trying to ban books that showcased the injustices and inequality has suffered, you would be supporting laws that slowly pick away at their rights while screaming the country shouldn’t bend to the will of a such a small minority.

    The same playbook y’all used against interracial marriage - women's rights - and gay rights.

    It is super ironic that you just posted that

    The topic is what he said in response to the tragedy in Texas. Whatever your personal hate filled opinion of him, he came through with an appropriate statement regarding the event and your President did not.
