It's not uncommon for people to order speech givers at these events to not being up divisive topics socially for fear of wrecking the event.

As a good portion of the crowd supports the anti grooming law and is aware that it doesn't say that you can't say gay in the bill and that is a bullshit narrative.

It's suppose to be a celebration where students put all that **** aside for one night and celebrate hard work earning graduation.

You don't want to have some curly haired dipshit bring up politics or religion or some other divisive topic that is going to spin the mood of the event into another battleground of opinion.

When your side has been calling half of America "white supremacists" and "Nazis" for half a decade, you have lost the moral ground to use terms such as "inclusive" and "discriminatory" without inducing gut wrenching laughter in your listeners. Self-awareness is a thing.
