…,The poll by the University of Massachusetts Amherst found 68% of self-identified Republicans want Biden punished if the GOP takes over Congress as expected.

The poll, which surveyed 1,000 respondents, found 44% of them predicted a Republican-controlled House would impeach Biden. Among the Republicans surveyed, 53% predicted the GOP lawmakers would take action.

Reacting to her university’s poll, political science professor Tatishe Ntete said impeaching a president was once considered a “last resort” by lawmakers.

“Today, impeachment is no longer a final option,” Ntete said in a statement, “but one of many weapons to be used in an era of rampant partisan polarization to gain an upper hand on one’s partisan opponents.”

The Hill news website reported in a Jan. 2021 story Democrats were “pressing full steam” to impeach then-President Donald Trump, for a second time, and they were dismissing warnings from Republicans their nakedly political actions were sowing deep division.

The difference here is there was a bipartisan support for both impeachment and removal of trump after the evidence was heard and the second one had even more support which is why it was purposely held off until after inauguration as even Mitch was saying he was guilty.

Republicans screamed the process was being tainted and now they are actually screaming they want “revenge” not justice.

Like everything, it is good to see this was just all projection for what the right intended to do after they got their ass handed to them in 2020 and 2022.

Biden deserves to be impeached for not following existing federal law and recent court rulings regarding energy and immigration policies. Real and legitimate high crimes and misdemeanors he’s committed against we the people.

If the GOP takes the House, by a simple Majority Vote, they can Impeach Biden for Farting in the Wrong Key (if they want to).
It will FAIL in the Senate (Lacking the 2/3rds) and be a waste of time and money

But there is no material difference. It was Democrats who argued you didn't need a crime to impeach Trump. That the crime is political in nature. So, what applies for Trump, applies for President Lame Duck here. No one made President Lame Duck's administration target civilians with government power, he chose to do that on his own. In of itself, that's arguably even more violent than what Trump did on the 6th

The only reason we don't have parents hauled off to Guantanamo Bay is because of the whistleblowers(the draft designated them as terrorists)

Again, imagine if Trump targeted the parents of his political enemies you'd hollar(quite correctly this time) that it is a police state.

We saw the creation(before eventual stoppage) of a ministry of propaganda, we'd seen a forced vaccination policy. We've seen ineffective energy policies as well as policies that made the supply chain crisis worse. Why shouldn't we impeach this fraud? A spade's a spade.

But as I have always said, if they find things that were corrupt I hope every single person falls. After all, we are not in a cult, right? We wouldn’t defend a president that uses his position to call for editing the election results, or attempt to stop national certification, or retweet that the only good Republican is a dead one — would we?

 

I don’t remember a message that it was only political from the left, they showed a crime enough to have a bipartisan impeachment. Even the Republican leader said he was guilty of the second one. The people also supported his impeachment.

Republicans on the other hand are outright saying it is vengeance. At least own it like @HockeyDad has done.
