Then I think it's time to get a new job rather than pretending to be heroes. Some spokesperson for them kept repeating over and over about the heroic actions of the officers. I wanted to vomit.

I am not aware of anybody over the age of about 12 years old that believe people are heroes. Why would an adult expect that from another human?

People who have never done a thing acting like they know exactly how to do a thing. Under extreme pressure. Adorable.

Watch the videos of the cops tasing and arresting parents who wanted to go in and confront the killer. If the cops aren't going to let the parents charge in, then surely it's because cops know they are the ones expected to handle the situation right?

If they are too scared and have no obligation to those kids, then move aside and let the parents take action.

I'll take your word for it. I'm a former cop with complex-PTSD. I don't subject myself to the news just for that reason.

There are procedures in place so that cops don't go in blind but, as a parent, a cop would have had to not only shoot me but kill me to stop me from entering that building to help those kids. Nothing but death would have stopped me. That's outrageous.

That would be the point where they enter the building to stop his ass.

I mean I'm certainly no trained professional but I think that would be the next course of action. Not sit there for the next 40 minutes and listen to the gunshots from inside

Yes, It takes too long for the truth to catch up with the MSM's Fake News.

“Border Patrol tactical team ordered to hold back upon arrival: Report

When federal immigration officers arrived at the elementary school, local police would not allow them to go after the shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, according to the New York Times, the latest amid claims Uvalde police did not respond with sufficient speed to stop Ramos.

The Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrived between 12 p.m. and 12:10 p.m., far earlier than previously reported, according to officials briefed on the situation. However, they did not breach the classrooms where the gunman was until after 1 p.m., police acknowledged. The members of that team shot and killed Ramos.

The Border Patrol and ICE officials did not understand why they were delayed, according to officials.

The gunman locked himself in a pair of connected classrooms and shot multiple students within the first few minutes of the assault, according to officials. Local police, at the time, were reportedly focusing on evacuating students and teachers from the rest of the building.”

I blame them for sitting around with her thumb up their ass for 40 minutes or more while the shooting went on.

So does the op and evidently you did too in post number two but of course you'll deny that and you won't have a bit of blame for the op because after all he's on your side.

Please quote where I gave this solution that you attribute to me.....

    LOL.

The Japanese measures were implemented in 2001. My link is from 2018. The French measures were implemented in 2016. The pull quote from Italy clearly stated the measures have been in place several years.

I’m staring to see your unsubstantiated opinions are far more important to you than facts. Well, you are providing entertainment value anyway, but we can’t take your policy advice seriously—it’s not based on reality.

Where is the evidence that there were any gunshots "for the next 40 minutes'?

So what they do just sit there for 40 minutes after hearing the last shot?

Have you ever been to Italy? To France?

    Check out the schools there.

No armed teachers, no armored doors, no active shooter drills.

You want to talk about Japan?

Try buying an AR-15 in Japan and come back.

No country in the West has as much mass shooting as the US, not even close. Because nowhere else is it as easy to get a gun.

Personally if I knew children were being shot and I had a gun I would go in.

I've never been in such a situation so I can't say for certain but I know I'd be so inclined.

I'm going to tag you in a post here in just a moment where you can hear the police for themself taking responsibility for having botched it.

There's no time for a pow wow and kids are being shot.

Yes it will become political and the police will say that they should have gone in quicker. How many children were shot in those last 40 minutes

There may not have been gunshots for 40 minutes, but there were dozens of little kids bleeding out and dying that whole time. You suppose maybe helping them might have been on the action plan?

No I want to find those with obvious school shooter beliefs and tendencies and get them mental health services away from the rest of society. 60% of them announce their plans on social media. They aren't hard to find. Yes, the kid bought the guns legally since the background check found nothing on his record. But the gun isn't the issue. The shooter is.

I don't know about psychopaths but sociopaths represent between 3 and 5 percent of the population.

Probably true but almost all of them are sociopaths.

I'm sure that's true of sociopaths as well. Mass shootings, despite the noise they make, are quite rare.

Reality has never left me. I can't image why you think otherwise.

I'm not going to sit here and dicker with you over the exact minutes and when the shots were fired the point is time is of the essence and when you hear the shots that's the time to take your ass in there and stop the shooter.

Dozens? Were there any survivors in that classroom? Being shot several times with that sort of gun at such close range I would be surprised if any would have survived . If there were injured children outside that classroom that were just left then my opinion of the police actions would switch significantly

Well it's like someone else said you haven't been reasoning into that position so you cannot be reasoned out of it.

But for anyone reading your hyperbolic post such as you can go and buy an AR-15 on the internet I'll point out the fact that you are leaving out relevant information.... When you buy a gun on the internet it has to ship to an FFL a brick-and-mortar store with a gun dealer's license.

At that point they have to perform the same background check on you as though you had walked into the brick-and-mortar store to buy the weapon and they will not release it until your background check clears

Well there's little doubt they would bleed out after 40 minutes.

Who knows how many lives were lost for lack of a quicker action.

Of course the EMTs who might have saved lives had to sit there with their thumb up their butts the whole time

Oh it appears to be much worse than that. Not only did they do nothing they prevented numerous others from trying.
