    Frederick Douglass was very explicit in his support of the constitution as a free man and actually understood that the 3/5 compromise was a limit on slavery long term and not an enabler of it in perpetuity.

    The thing is this:
    People like DeSantis, Pence, Christie, Etc...or anybody else who can raise the money...aren't going to step aside just b/c Trump announces...
    Especially, DeSantis. If he can consolidate the GOP Anti-Trump Vote...
    Trump = Baggage
    DeSantis = Trump Lite (Without Trump's Baggage)
    DeSantis would have a better chance in the Fall...
    Trump would be the Easiest GOP Candidate to beat...
