Here's an interesting take from Larry Summers, who like most people, wingers go back and forth on liking, depending on what he's saying that day.

Blaming the sedition supporters for a part of the inflation...

    SNIP
Summers also blamed Republicans for downplaying the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, saying that such rhetoric undermines the credibility of the U.S. government and, thus, "feeds through on inflation."

“If we can’t trust the country’s government, why should we trust its money?" he said.

I work in construction and know all about the shortages and prices for materials. The shortages and prices increasing started before Joe won the election. Metal and lumber increased a ton starting with Trumps tariff wars. Once Covid hit, it got even worse.

LOL! Trump increased US supply by increasing production. The dems stupid policies toward oil production in the US is what is driving up prices.

Lumber was because of fires not trade wars and the metal was small fry compared to this mess.

and increased US supply as we are now seeing doesn't mean cheaper prices at the pump, the prices is still set globally even though the US has plenty of oil, in fact we are exporting oil still

prices will not come down until foreign oil supply goes up

So is today's mess Joe's fault? If so, explain exactly how it is.

Last I heard lumber is transported state to state and local by diesel run transportation vehicles! So logically when the fuel they us goes up so does the price of what they're carrying goes up too...

Not really that difficult to understand... Now granted the delivery system is just the tip of the iceberg "so to speak" and if you really want to crack that nut, factor in inflation..

Or maybe we process one thing at a time to avoid information overload ;)

Some of this mess is Joe's fault .. but there is plenty of blame to go around .. What does this have to do with Joe's incoherent "greatest economic recovery" claim though ?

Now I know this post was not to me .. but just a heads up .. using the term "Exactly" in the context of "The Mess" or rather "This mess" shows a lack of understanding of the subject matter.

This "Greatest Economic Recovery" trope is testiment to the fact that Joe is surrounded by morons... (along with himself being one of course) .
They had to know this claim is Pants on Fire - False .. but they figured a few cherry picked data points would be sufficient to float this by the ignorant raging masses... but even the raging masses are not that stupid .. well .. not all of them .. and certainly not in the middle which is the target audience .. the stupified Blue extremists will believe what ever they say .. no matter how dumb and dumber.

Did no one notice the Dow is down near 20% on the year ? -- is that what happened in the second greatest economic recovery ... markets dropped 19% .. and we are doing better by hitting 20% ?

Was it the manufacturing index being negative .. month after month .. that makes this the "Greatest economic Recovery" .. the more months the better ?

Was it the Trillions of Dollars in Free money pumped into the economy that made this one the best ? Yeah .. thats the ticket . . massive deficits are an excellent sign of a strong economy .. every time don't ya know.

    Fking morons these people are.

And now the guy who predicted back in December that "ole Joe" was going make the economy come "roaring back" has suddenly developed 20/20 hindsight, and he sees it all crystal clear.

You were utterly clueless about what was coming half a year ago, but now you've got it all figured out, huh? Now you know all about it?

Joe isn't responsible for this starting. He is responsible for exacerbating it instead of quelling it. There are many things that have already been said several times and I don't care to repeat them.

There is definitely a lack of cat food on the shelves... canned cat food to be specific. Since there seems to be a small but steady supply of cat food in plastic packaging, I'll have to guess it's the aluminum for physical cans that is the problem.

There are chicken issues, a number of outbreaks of avian flu has caused the destruction on millions of chickens. A roaster that used to be readily available for $5 +/- is now $11 +/-

This is not your daddy's liberal party -- the new Blue is the new Neocon .. demonizing the anti-war voice.

The new Blue is Anti ACLU -- demonizing the likes of Dershowitz - as Blue as they come .. or used to come.
The new Blue is Anti Environment -- demonizing Micheal Moore . another True Blue icon

What we used to call the more radical elements of Blue .as in far to the left - are now raging Red on the spectrum by comparison to the new Blue.

Blue left "Classical Liberalism" decades ago .. never forget the Obama classic " If we want increased Security - we have to give a little" apologizing for Clapper who lied to congress (felony 1) about the en-mass domestic spy program (felony 2)

I get that I am one of a group of about 10 people in this nation that understood the gravity of the above 180 degree turn from everything Obama was supposed to be about .. Harvard Constitutional Scholar .. Civil Rights activist .. and that is truly sad.

What is even sadder .. is that one of the 10 people in that group ... the group that get's it .. is "Obama" .. who knew exactly what he was saying .. but also knew that the 99.999% of the raging masses didn't .. get it .. so all good in the hood.

the US does not have a shortage of oil, in fact were still exporting it

once foreign oil increases production again, prices will come down

American oil costs more it seems, Republicans lied to us

Holy rambling nonsense Batman .. what does Trump have to do with Bidens ridiculously false and nonsensical claim "Greatest Economic Recovery"

What does all the Covid nonsense you posted have to do with the absurdity of Biden's claim. Even if your completely false assertion that the vax prevented transmission was not false .. what does that have to do the absurdity of Biden's claim "Greatest Economic Recovery" ?

He’s a complete moron. The stocks are going down, interest rates are going up, cost of living is exceeding pay raises. If that equates to a great economic recovery then Donald Trump was the god economic activity.
