    The first is the decision and the law adopted by [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy in March 2021—that means last year—to reconquer Crimea by force, and that started a build-up of the Russian armored for…not the Russian, [rather] the Ukrainian armored forces in the southern parts of the country. And so, I think the Russians were perfectly aware of this build-up. They were aware that an operation was to be launched against the Republics of the Donbas, but they did not know when, and, of course, they were just observing that, and then came the real trigger.

    You may remember that—I think it was on the 16th of February—Joe Biden, during a press conference, told that he knew that the Russians would attack. And how would he know that? Because I still have some contacts, and nobody actually thought that the Russians—before end of January, beginning of February—I think nobody thought that the Russians would attack Ukraine. So, there must have been something that made Biden aware that the Russians would attack. And this something, in fact, is the intensification of the artillery shelling of the Donbas starting on the 16th of February, and this increase in the shelling was observed, in fact, by the [Border] Observer Mission of the OSCE [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe], and they recorded this increase of violation, and it’s a massive violation. I mean, we are talking about something that is about 30 times more than what it used to be, because the last eight years you had a lot of violations from both sides, by the way. But suddenly on the 16th of February you had a massive increase of violation on the Ukrainian side. So, for the Russians, Vladimir Putin in particular, that was the sign that the operation—the Ukrainian operation—was about to start.

    And then everything started; I mean, all the events came very quickly. That means that if we look at the figures, you can see that there’s, as I said, a massive increase from the 16th-17th, and then it reached kind of a maximum on the 18th of February, and that was continuing.

    And the Russian parliament, the Duma, also was aware of this possible offensive, and they passed a resolution asking Vladimir Putin to recognize the independence of the two self-proclaimed Republics in the Donbas. And that’s what Putin decided to do on the 21st of February. And just after adopting the decrees, the law recognizing the independence of the two Republics, Vladimir Putin signed a friendship and assistance agreement with those two Republics. Why did he do that? So that would allow the Republics to ask for military help in case of attack. And that’s why, on the 24th of February when Vladimir Putin decided to launch the offensive, it could invoke Article 51 of the UN Charter that provides for assistance in case of attack.

    This is the best example how Americans are manipulated.It's actually terrifying that the U.S elites and their media allies managed to muzzle 350+ million Americans for over two years. The song title comes to mind. American idiot. The whole world can see that Joe Biden is a complete fraud and a serial liar. As well as the U.S intelligence officials and their media allies. And the most tragic thing is they all caught red handed and there are no consequences for their treasounous actions.

    Keep in mind this was written Oct. 19, 2020, five days after The Post published its first story. Neither Joe Biden nor Hunter Biden had denied the story, they simply deflected questions. Didn’t these security experts think that if this was disinformation, the Biden campaign would have yelled to the heavens that the story was false?

    I loved the 3 laptop bit. Most here don't remember Russian antics in the Cold War, but that is so very Russian, very over the top...

    There's a lot of Russians living in Australia. I dated one for many years.
    I fear that Putin might exploit such people. He might set up some Donbass style protest movement, followed by a separatist movement. Say in Queensland. When the Australian government moves to put it down he could send in Russian de-patched 'volunteers' to fight, and failing that send in Russian forces. Once Putin has Queensland he can get an 'invitation' to come help the Russians, and swifty attempt to seize Canberra. After that the 'non-nuclear' New Zealand will be a push over.

    Calling the true story sleaze tells a lot about your character. There is no Hunter Biden sleaze. It’s the facts. Irrefutable evidence found on his laptop. And even more of it on the hard drive. The moron thought that by pressing a delete button he deleted those incriminating files forever. Russians didn’t force Biden to sexually abuse underage girls, Russians didn’t force Biden to take bribes from the Chinese officials, both civilians and military, Russians and Ukrainians bribed him as well (Biden senior got his cut too), Russians didn’t force Biden to turn himself into a drug addict etc….Incidentally, if you had left your laptop with the same content in the repair shop and the authorities got hold of it you would be behind the bars. For an extended period of time. And your father certainly wouldn’t be the president of the USA.

    You dating Russians doesn't make you an expet on Russia, does it? Based on your metrics I could call myself a worldwide expert. Retired though. Don't be silly.

    Back to more serious matters. The USA is solely to blame. They set the trend. In 1990's broke all sorts of international laws and wiped the floor with the UN charter (the Balkans), followed by illegal war against Iraq and Afghanistan killing and displacing millions of people. That wasn't enough, so they decided to completely ruin Libya (against all known international laws) etc....You don't get to lecture anyone in this world on international laws, the UN charter, morality etc...

    The mention of dating a Russian was to show there are many Russians in Australia. In fact there are many Russians in Europe, and the Americas.
    They have been fleeing Russia since comrade Lenin's day - all the smart ones, the entrepeneurs, the specially gifted. No future in Russia. Many have left over the past few months. Voting with their feet since it has become obvious that the fledgling democratic hopes of the Gorbachev-Yeltsin days are long gone and we are back to Kruschev's days - and soon maybe Uncle Joe's days ('Uncle Joe' was the fond name the American Left gave to Stalin, similar to Uncle Mao and Uncle Ho - killers of over 100,000,000 people.)

    Absolutely bang on the nail! But try telling that to those who STILL claim that Russia started 'The War'. Infact, if you go back to Feb 2014 the US started the civil war with their Coup and used Ukrainians to do the dirty work for the next eight years. Russia, as you say, knew what was happening in the few weeks before they attacked as they had captured intelligence documents that described preparations ........ but not when, Feb 15th/16th Kyiv upped the attacks by orders of magnitude, it went from 40 a day to 1300+ by the 22nd in just eight days and Russia reacted very quickly. So this repeated claim Russia attacked Ukraine is a total illusion ..... and propaganda. The US knew what the plan was for months before it happened.
