What I have learned is that Russia has state controlled mass media. Rarely is there truth allowed in their reporting. I would be happy to visit Russia with you to prove you wrong. I have personally known people who have visited Russia with strange experiences with mass surveillance and no freedom of speech. Otherwise, the Russian populace are decent people, just never encountered freedoms like other countries have gotten to enjoy

 

Given the report of Russia's default on one of its debts, we can reasonably expect that other defaults may follow. This will, in turn, make it less likely that other nations/individuals will take on new Russian debt, Some may, of course, but their intent may well be predatory.

It will be interesting to watch this play out in time.

I am not a fan of the Ukrainian government no more than Putins Russia.
