This is horrible and could have been prevented if this administration would have just acknowledged that there is a crisis at the southern border and stopped the flow of immigrants coming to this country. There is an estimated 1.5 million (potentially 2 million) that have crossed the border since this administration has been in office and the records continue to grow as this administration continues to turn a blind eye to this crisis.

Will this tragedy at least turn the lefts eye that something has to be done? Or is their solution to merely just open the boarder?

Surprised that this travesty has not garnered more interest. This is a mass murder at our southern border that is just being ignored.

Why be surprised? It doesn't involve guns, homosexuals, abortion or Trump. Without any of those factors it isn't "compelling" enough to really talk about. Besides, if we talk about it then we may also have to talk about Democrat border policies and unless Border Patrol agents are beating helpless people with horses and whips we just don't talk about things that might give people a negative opinion of Democrat policies. I mean, we don't really talk about Ukraine any more and Afghanistan is like it never happened so what do you expect with this kind of story?

 

Usually, the suffering and death is out of view, making it easier to support poor border policies. These people were left to die in a truck. Does this mass murder change anyone's mind about supporting incentives to illegally immigrate to the US?

Biden policies did this. He invited the illegals to come here, his policies made it easier for illegals to cross and cross undetected. If the illegals knew they would be apprehended and sent back they wouldn’t risk their lives coming here. But democrats very publicly offered them sanctuary states and cities, free healthcare and education, and in some places the left wants them to vote.

Biden and his liberal pals are responsible for all the death and misery caused by and to illegals.

Secure the border, make it tighter than a clam’s ass and then announce illegals will be sent back the moment they’re captured no matter where they are or how long they’ve been here. If it saves just one life….

 

Libs don’t care, there are plenty more illegals where this batch came from.

 

How naive can one be to think that just more recognition is all that is needed to stop human smuggling.

Let's not forget how a wall would have stopped this too.

 

We have a group or two here in Tucson that have taken up the mission of placing water stations at various places in the desert along trails commonly used by illegals. That sounds like a nice thing to do and seems to be quite humane, doesn't it? Well, here's the problem(s):

1. There are other groups, including cartels, that know these locations and prey on the migrants.
2. The caravans often avoid these stations because they figure they'll be caught on camera and/or picked up if they approach the stations.
3. Groups that DO approach the stations generally leave huge piles of trash.
4. "Humanitarian" groups that do this are encouraging unwitting people to march off into the Sonoran desert in the heat of summer which, if you're unprepared, can be deadly.

If these groups spent half as much time helping expedite the LEGAL process to come here as they did facilitating ILLEGAL entry we'd all be much better off.

A wall is not only a physical barrier that’s not easily penetrated, it’s also a visual signal that we mean business. Plus a wall is only good if it has support. Look at prisons, without the guards the inmates would eventually defeat the prison walls. The left policies are tying up the wall’s support or being called for elimination.

 

Those supporting poor border policies seem to be blind to these issues.

 

This rivals the deadliest mass shootings in our history and, due to politics, the left doesn't bat an eye.

Think about the 'call to action' from the left after uvalde and how it compares to their reaction to this story. Imagine if they wanted to prevent situations like this like they claim to want to prevent school shootings. We'd have a helluva secure border by now. Or at minimum one that was a lot more secure than it is.

You want evidence that politics takes precedence over all else to the left.....this story is pretty damning evidence.

 

Add your thoughts to how the left ignores hundreds, even thousands of murders in liberal cities and you can see how they don’t care about lives, they care about their agenda.

 

Hang on - Abbott has blamed Biden for this. Biden's open borders policy. But if the border was open, why are people being smuggled in?

And what about the people who died in a truck in 2017 under Trump? Was that also horrible? Why wasn't it prevented by his administration?

 

This is something I will not pretend to be outraged about.

 

Don't be like other posters here and take the phrase 'open borders' literally when you know it's not meant that way. It refers to the lefts lack of border security and you know it. And yes, the lack of border security is the primary culprit here.

 

LOL how many do you need for you to consider it open? 5k% increase? 3 million caught? You have a number?

 

The illegals are being smuggled through the open parts of the border. Duh.

 

Maybe, going forward, fewer 'migrants' will choose to try to enter the United States illegally. If not, then human tragedies like this will go on occurring....
