    It's five times a day.

You're really vastly oversimplifying. The Christians indeed preserved the learning of the Ancient Western world but at the same time other Christians did their best to destroy it, and the Muslims played a very integral part and necessary part which involved making a lot of changes and improvements, (like algebra), though they did their part in the destruction too. It was a rather involved millenium

Wage slavery is a joke. The "peculiar institution" was basically the beginning and template for Naziism, probably the most evil and pernicious ideology mankind has yet devised

Lol, that's where Islam started and it's not another continent. You need a geography lesson or two.

Oh, that's OK then. The 400 Million Hindus slaughtered were from the same continent as Mohamed.

dates? Thought so. Muzzies are the catfish of the abrahamic religion and are still in the dark ages, regardless of you admitting it. The rest of us are aware.

400 million? Real history puts that at more like 80 million. Far lass than were killed in the Crusades, BTW.

Dude, Give it up. They are the same.

As I said, they are the same, the muslims are just a little behind. Their daddy issues started a few hundred years later.

Your OP is a piquant sniff, of the rancid hypocrisy, governing the behavior of numerous Republican leaders. They are, nevertheless, just a part of, or in some cases only playing into, the stench of a small-minded, myopic, alarmist, nationalist, conformist, conservative, and bigoted citizenry, who encourage, support, and defend their hypocrisy. Your angle was well-chosen, by beginning with an emphasis on "divide and conquer politics," as this gets to the heart of the challenge this represents, to our union. It has never been an easy, or perhaps even natural, road, for people to respect each other's differing opinions, and be willing to compromise. Yet, that is the one that has led to America's greatest success, and the path that holds for us all, the greatest promise.

When the christians were at their most rambunctious there weren't any airplanes. The Islamics are following in the Christian footsteps a couple of hundred years behind. I apologize if I haven't made that clear before now.

    They are the same.

I see that you are that sort of leftist that just makes stuff up. We already have more than enough intellectually dishonest leftists, thank you very much.

Matthew White – Estimates 3,000,000 total dead for the crusades to the East covering the period from 1095 to 1291. “Estimates of the number of people killed in the Crusades begin at 1 million (Wertham…) and go as high as 9 million (Robertson…) passing through 3 million (Garrison…) and 5 million (Elson…) along the way.

At one point you couldn't even say "Jehovah" without being stoned to death.

I'm not talking about one point I'm talking about current modern society.

You sure love making excuses for the barbarism of Islam don't you?

You have things that happen hundreds if not thousands of years ago versus things that are happening in the world today

I'm talking about christianity vs islam. Islam is a few hundred years younger than christianity.

Thanks for sharing your take on it, but some others don't want religion rubbed in their faces. Patriotism has nothing to do with this topic.

It never ends well when you overplay the hand, which seems to be the case with current GOP.

Lets keep both religion and race out of civics. None of them have anything to do with eachother.

They done need to have anything to do with each other. Racism is a historical fact, and religion too can be taught from historical POV, but there is problem when you start grooming kids to favor one religion over another.

What are you proposing that people with imaginary Sky Daddy/Daddies do if not look down up others? There are only so many crazy, funny stories they can tell about somebody that never had sex having a baby, talking bushes and an apparent crackhead party where they imagined a human could walk on water.

The part I find the funniest is right now we are all alive and clearly have different opinions about the world around us. They are pissed off at us because they can't beat us over the head with their historical revisionism of the Orange Stain's many, many, many outrageous actions. So, even when we all saw the exact same craziness with our own eyes, how on Earth are they so "certain* they know what happened during a time they didn't live in?

I'd say they must not be too convinced of the BS they spew or they wouldn't be so hateful, judgmental and angry when others don't capitulate. Have you ever become irate when somebody didn't accept your explanation for something? I haven't. However, in fairness, I don't have a hair trigger temper, delusions of grandeur that my way is the only "right" way or any desire to treat other people like crap so there's that. ;-)
