B.S.! "Considering the gravity'.!! The gravity/importance of the investigations has dam all to do with how well you remember a long series of events and conversations that occurred months or years ago.

Answer me this Sherlock. How is anyone (including you) supposed to know in advance that something they saw or heard 12 months ago is going to be important BEFORE the crime to which they relate has occurred or is under investigation. Are you seriously telling me you have such a meticulous memory that you can remember conversations you had with random people from 6 months ago, and which suddenly become very important now?

(And don't bother answering because we already know what the answer is.)

But no, that's the measure you expect her to meet and why? Simple, because you don't like the evidence she gave. Well if she's a 'liar' for forgetting/confusing minor details months after they occur? I can guarantee your one also. And so is everyone else on this forum.

 

Its amazing that the view of Trumps actions depend on whether he did or did not try to attend the attack on congress.
Nothing about how he tried to prevent it.
Can I assume tacit approval is acceptable?

 

That's because the pile of witness statements and documentary evidence showing Trump actively encouraged people to protest and wanted the election result overturned by virtually any means possible would fill a large filing cabinet whereas the number of statements proving he tried to calm/ed the protests (after they turned violent of course) wouldn't fill Christmas card envelope.

 

That's exactly the standard I expect her to meet.

You've basically admitted (by silence) that you expect her to meet a standard you couldn't. But then if she'd been giving evidence that exonerated Trump of any wrong doing any minor lapses in memory etc wouldn't even be an issue now would they?

 

If she couldn't remember a detail, or details, then she should have said that. That's what I would have done.

A witness doesn't get to say "oh, I remembered wrong" after giving false testimony.

 

If its a complex matter? They do all the time, in open court. People aren't machines, its been proven by researchers time and time again that out memories aren't perfect. In court if a witness makes a mistake of fact there's cross examination and re-examination to clarify what in fact was really said/happened. The one cardinal exception is of course deliberate falsehood. And there's zero evidence that was the case in this instance.

(CNN)A Washington, DC, police officer has corroborated to the House select committee investigating January 6, 2021, details regarding a heated exchange former President Donald Trump had with his Secret Service detail when he was told he could not go to the US Capitol after his rally, a source familiar with the matter tells CNN.

The officer with the Metropolitan Police Department was in the motorcade with the Secret Service for Trump on January 6 and recounted what was seen to committee investigators, according to the source.

A spokesperson for the committee declined to comment. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police Department did not immediately respond to comment.
