    No shot it is Harris
If they pressure Biden not to run, as I expect it will be someone else. Just not sure who

My guess, Tulsi Gabbard. The only sane one. Pity she isn't VP now.

That would be their best choice, but the Democratic establishment hates Tulsi Gabbard. She is too independent and doesn’t walk in lockstep like a mindless drone.

The left deploys the garlic & crucifix at the mention of her name; her poll numbers in blue Hawaii are under water. I don't think she has a prayer, given the extremists that are calling the shots on that side of the aisle.

Democrats hate Tulsi Gabbard, even though she would be an order of magnitude better than either Geriatric Joe or that inept woman he ran with who pretends to be 'Black'.

If Democrats had any common sense, they'd nominate Joe Manchin, with Krystan Sinema as VP. Or, maybe Manchin with Amy Klobuchar, who's got lots of 'lib-cred', and, she's smarter than most of the rest of them.

Assuming he hangs on, Biden will most likely be the nominee. I'm sure the party would love to replace him (but not with Harris) but they may need an act of god for that.

The Democrat machine will use their skills to keep Biden alive and more-or-less sentient -- until they can find some other 'front-runner', which won't (WON'T) be Kamala-la-la. As Geriatric Joe continues to deteriorate, they'll have to keep him functioning in much the same way as they did to keep Justice Ruth Ginsberg 'operational' during her last couple of years....

Think about it: Joe Manchin can appeal to a sizeable number of Independents, along with Republicans who like his straightforward, no-bullshit approach to honest, fair action. And, the non-'woke' faction (I think they may still be called, 'Blue Dog Democrats') would probably flock to Manchin, too. His could be a strong position -- but -- Democrats still would need to keep their hyperliberal, 'woke' faction, and so they have to have one of their 'kind' on the ticket, too.

Without having to dig too deep into the Loonie-tunes field of potential liberal Democrats, a VP nominee like Amy Klobuchar could work very well for them. As I said before, she's definitely a nominally 'wokish liberal, and she runs with that crowd -- but -- she's canny, she's clever, she's intelligent, and, she's NOT stupid! She's exactly the kind of Democrat I'd prefer not to confront -- smart, well-spoken, well-entrenched with the upper-Midwest lib community, and respected, generally, among the radical faction.

Klobuchar or anyone else will have to wait until 2028.

The one to watch (and dread) is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She will turn 35 years old just before the November election in 2024, and thus be eligible to run for president. Birthday: October 13, 1989. The mere thought of anyone as mindless and ignorant as she is being anywhere near the White House turns my blood to ice.... The other genuine horror, possibly even much worse than AOC, would be Michelle Obama....

Think: if either of them promised enough welfare to two younger generations of Americans not known for having much of a 'work-ethic', each could win -- possibly running on the same ticket!

At a certain point, I'm not sure it matters much. What would be the actual difference between a President Ocasio-Cortez or a President Obama Part deux and the current President Joe Biden? What policies would be different, either domestically or foreign policy?

"Shades of Gray", Mike... that's the difference between how horribly fugged-up the country would be under AOC, Michelle Obama, Geriatric Joe, Kamala-la-la, or any of the rest of these creeps. Which one would be worse? It matters because the more effective they are, the more of their kind they get elected or appointed in other capacities -- and the next thing you know, EVERYTHING goes straight to hell... (kinda like now). And, as you look around, sure enough, Democrats rule the entire Congress, and the White House. The SCOTUS is the only branch of government left where a majority supports the Constitution, as written and amended.

More and more Americans have forgotten what real LEADERS are like, and merely want talking-heads that they think "look-like-them" and who shovel out unearned welfare goodies with regularity. Democrats -- ALL of them -- have been better at that than Republicans, by far. And, as long as we allow people on government welfare to VOTE in all elections, there will always be a robust, resilient Democrat Party!

Effectiveness matters, but I don't think Ocasio-Cortez would be any more effective than Biden, although for different reasons.

Sadly, I cast my vote to evict... oh wait, wrong game...Democcrats have no choice but to continue to ride the broken Biden Train. Too many folks are terrified what a Kamal Two administration would F up. Butt Juicy doesn't have the national appeal, Gretchen may be going to jail.. Stacey says she hates Georgia but might get stuck there after all.... (Fitting?)

Democrats have to be puling for a second Trump run at this point, given the paucity of their bench... So, that leaves them Joe. The only person to ever win an election against Trump.

Not a chance. She's stuck in the early 2000s when Dems/Libs were still antiestablishment and proliberty. She's basically a 'white supremacist' now.

    Amy Klobuchar.

Three time Senator out of Minnesota. Ex DA. Yale graduate. Magna cum laude. Chair of the Senate Rules Committee (meaning she knows how Congress works)
Mom and Cancer survivor. Smart lady - not too far left, had some traction in the 2020 campaign for President and was considered for VP.
Doesn't make stupid remarks, well spoken. Has never lost an election.

And of course, The Rock would be her VP choice cause the Dems have to prove they're as screwed up as the Republicans and nominate
some TV dude cause they have a recognizable name and a cult following ...

I would not be surprised if Hillary was drafted, except she doesn’t want to lose again.
The democrats have no bench: The breakdown of those in the sweet spot:
    • Ron Desantis (R-FL): 43 years old
    • Andy Beshear (D-KY): 44 years old
    • Spencer Cox (R-UT): 46 years old
    • Jared Polis (D-CO): 47 years old
    • Chris Sununu (R-NH): 47 years old
    • Tate Reeves (R-MS): 47 years old
    • Kevin Stitt (R-OK): 49 years old
    • Kristi Noem (R-SD): 50 years old
    • Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI): 50 years old
    • Eric Holcomb (R-IN): 54 years old
    • Gavin Newsom (D-CA): 54 years old
    • Glenn Youngkin (R-VA): 55 years old
As you can see Gov. Newsom and Gov. Whitmore are the only ones with the administrative background and name recognition to be president*. House and Senate hopefuls just don’t have the juice. Democrats in particular starve members of name recognition by not letting them sponsor important legislation because they don’t bring in enough money.

*Polling shows this metric has been increasing. N/S

I certainly hope you're right... but at some point in the not-too-distant future I'm afraid we're going to have to confront this issue of "which Democrat is even WORSE than Biden?"

Dems need a safe, middle of the road pick. People just ain’t gonna go for this Stupid Xoe the pedo/AOC/Kommie/ Bernie leftist agenda. People want $2 gas, like during Trump. People want American oil independence, like during Trump. People want food prices like they where during Trump. People want cops patrolling their streets. People dont want blm riots. So Dems will do a middle of the road position while running then if for some reason Americans screw up and elect a Dem, then he/she/it will push a leftist agenda. Whitmer
    Was expert at doing this.
