In fact the empire outlawed slavery in 1834. Canada and the UK remaining separate from the US has nothing to do with wanting to keep slaves.

How much of that wall got built and how effective was it? Not much and not very IMO. Not that I think it's the right way to go. 700G to other countries? Definitely better spent than dollars on the wall. Because it keeps people from coming to the border in the first place. A small investment can save a lot of pain.

 

No... a wall will make people enter through a port of entry legally... 700 billion would go a long way for the US... 700 billion keeps people coming to the border in the first place. Feel free to write a check to help out for yourself, but don't offer to spend our money haphazardly.

 

As far as I can see the wall didn't stop anybody determined to get into the US. It would seem to me the haphazard spending would be spending on the wall. But feel fre to spend your money any way you want.

No, Trump wanted people with a neutral viewpoint, remember when he was elected there was a campaign to persuade the electors to not cast their votes for him? THAT was anti-democratic.

The Somerset Declaration in 1772 marked the rise of the abolitionist movement in Britain, after it slavery was doomed, it and religion an undervalued aspect of the American revolution.

Yeah, innocent until proven guilty is the fundamental tenet of a democratic justice system, to advocate otherwise is fascism, especially in regard to your political opponents.
