Oh man, comments like this one really shows how dumb Brandon and his White House is. Trying to blame skyrocketing gas prices (and everything else) on the Putin boogeyman is one thing. Flying face first into the common knowledge that gas stations make about $0.03/gal profit on gas with a tweet like this just shows how desperate the left is to hide the fact that this President doesn't have one single success under his belt.

Good on the OGA for hilariously smacking down this latest attempt to deflect the EPIC failures of putting Democrats in charge.

Oil companies are not the topic he posted is it? He is pointing out the gas station topic. The president clearly suggested they are price gouging.

The gas stations are the ones who gets charged for buying gas from other companies making landslide profits.
We all know that this is going on. And you can wonder if they are listening to their clients that are stuck with that bill.

 

Their profit margin has to come up when they are being charged more for leases and more red tape. That’s also obvious.

I like to point out from time to time self awareness is not a common trait in some demographics.

 

This has nothing to do with politics. It's not for Biden to come up with a law curbing the amount of profit a company can make or something.
All he can do is voice out the economic injustice companies are inflicting on his voters.

obviously the problem lies with companies charging way more then needed to cover cost and a normal % of profit.... with all these companies making record profits while everybody else crumbles under the price hike.

 

Not the margin or percentage of profit increase. That could easily remain the same by choice within reason. The reason the margin is so scalable, in this case, is that it's because the selling price did not scale to costs but far out scaled costs hence RECORD profits due to increased margins.

 

Yes but more cargo can mean less down time and more profit despite fuel charges.

 

You don’t seem to know what profit margin is. If the goods you are selling is 100 bucks and your profit margin is 3% then you make 3 bucks.

But suddenly the goods you are selling rise to 200 bucks. You’ve now made “record profits” at 6 dollars even though you haven’t done anything to gouge anyone.

basically what people like you are arguing for is for these companies to lower their profit margin in order to flatline their profits and they should do so on moral grounds even though their profit margin is meaningless to what we are paying at the pump.

long story short: if you are going to claim anyone is price gouging then you need to prove they are raising their profit margin.
