I don't give too much importance to who a mass shooter supports politically. Unless, of course, the shooter claims he was inspired by a political figure or ideology, like some have (Buffalo, El Paso, Christchurch... etc). What I think we should focus on is on the fact that there is a gun epidemic in this country. And that politicians who put their political donors before the lives of people share part of the blame and should not be in office.

I concur. It makes no sense to me that so many people determine "guilt" or "innocence" on factors that have nothing to do with their crime. I have yet to read anything that makes sense of them siding with the Capitol rioters over the police officers they attacked. It's the same BS with Rudy's latest drama. I have no doubts that if any other American did what Trump did and failed to do on January 6, 2021, they would be arrested the second Biden finished his inauguration.

I also have no doubts that if a guy tapped somebody on the back while calling them a "scumbag" in passing, it would be completely dismissed. Why is it suddenly the most egregious thing they've ever witnessed?

I have no doubts that if anybody else voted "no" on a human trafficking bill and was close to being indicted for human trafficking, they would be calling for his immediate dismissal. Why do they harp on the very small percentage of non-heterosexual people committing sex crimes but completely ignore the whole issue for those in their party?

How can they flip flop based on people's race, gender, sexuality, political party, etc. when NONE of that has anything to do with the actual crime?

I don't care that this shooter is white, male or a Trump supporter. He's a criminal. That's all that matters. And, I've given up on all hope of them being honest and consistent. How can they say that racism doesn't exist for all the people that experience it every day of their lives and then turn around and want to beat us over the head that one crime is "nothing" but other crimes are "something" solely based on irrelevant factors?

Where do you get that this kid was conservative or a Q follower? His videos were just plain weird and disturbing. There are a couple of pictures that look like political trolling but, so far, there doesn't seem to be any direct political motivation for the shooting.

 

Is there a stereotype? Most youngins see 4th of July as a day with fireworks and parades, not necessarily symbolic of our past history.
