For the eighth straight year, Chick-fil-A – a company founded on biblical principles – is America’s favorite restaurant.

Chick-fil-A topped this year’s American Customer Satisfaction Index Restaurant Study with a score of 83, the same score it tallied last year. It has led the survey for eight consecutive years.

The report was based on interviews with 20,143 customers chosen at random. Interviews took place in March and April.

Founded by Christian businessman Truett Cathy in 1946, Chick-fil-A’s purpose statement is to “glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us” and to “have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A,” according to its website.

“Truett based his business on Biblical principles that he believed were also good business principles, and since 1982, our Corporate Purpose has guided all that we do,” the website says. “We keep our Purpose front and center because it helps us to steward our business and our work to positively influence everyone we meet.”…

his is a great story as reported by multiple news outlets. Eight years in a row at number one! This is a tribute to the values that company was and is built upon.

The lines at the new Chick-fil-A where I live are very long, something it shares with another Christian owned and operated west coast and Texas Burger fast food restaurant, In and Out.

I don't eat chicken or poultry of any kind. I wouldn't even buy sides from a chicken joint, so I'm unlikely to ever eat his food but I respect the fact that he's closed on Sundays and I just ordered my daughter breakfast from Chick-fil-A a few minutes ago. Big ups to Kanye for his Chick-fil-A song.

All this, even though they are closed one day a week, and they fry in peanut oil..... I am reminded of the Tosh.O video, totally NSFW... So google it on your own time..

Here is Kanye's song, Closed On Sundays, (because Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays). He tells Kim Kardashian that she's his Chick-Fil-A ( The play on words makes me chuckle but referring to her as a 'chick' makes my sexism meter go off). Look at Little North saying Chick-Fil-A at the end. They had such a beautiful family. This genre of music is Christian Hip-Hop and the lyrics are about Kanye's devotion to God/Jesus and his family.

LOL! I've tried their food and I have no idea why anyone goes there. And then one day grubhub delivered a big bag of their stuff at my door by mistake. I bet it was half grease by weight. It was all too disgusting to eat.

Obviously it's just another political cult thing.

The only time I ate chick-fil-a was when I was a drill sergeant. Our battalion chaplain picked it up for the cadre occasionally when we were out at the rifle ranges with the soldiers in training. It was good at the time, but I’m not sure if it was because I was starving or because it was actually good, lol. As far as being healthy, I’m guessing it’s not that great, but we worked off the calories easily back then anyway.

There's one Chik Fil-A place where I live and the line is so long it cuts off the traffic to the semi-mall it's a part of. The thing is - the place is really clean. I mean, it's spotless. I like that. It's the absolute opposite of the Popeyes down the street which always has flies. Or the Burger King that serves spoiled food.

@arborville why don't you have chicken? Are you a vegetarian or it's just that?

The Chik Fil-As where I live are always packed, one of them creates traffic problems because of the lines getting into the parking lot.

I’m not a big fan of fast food chicken, but this place does have a grilled chicken nugget thing that’s pretty good, but still prefer to make chicken myself.

Keep in mind that even though this place is hideously popular with the masses, democrats have fought to keep them out of airports and other places.

And democrats made it political when they attempted and failed spectacularly to try to boycott them over the owner’s religious beliefs. As for our Chick-Fil-A, it’s on a corner of a mall parking lot with two other businesses sharing a building and was built a two lane drive through and it’s still busy but no traffic backs up out of the mall parking lot or disrupts mall traffic.

I'm just going to assume you've never been to Texas and sure as **** have never eaten a burger here. In-N-Out? Are you for ****ing for real? "Bless your heart" is all I have to say.

I don’t mind the burger from in n out, but the fries are awful. We have a Whataburger and an In and out across the street from each other. We always choose Whataburger.

Liberals can scream to the moon and back about Chick-Fil-A. It doesn’t matter. That business will be booming far after they are dead and gone.

The burgers themselves aren't bad, but I still prefer Whataburger burgers. And the fries are far superior at Whataburger, you're right about that. They also have a pretty consistent quality. I love McDonald's fries . . . most of the time. But the quality isn't consistent. It's either pure gold or complete trash without much in between.

I do love the waffle fries from Chick Fil A. There's always one or two terrible fries in the batch, but as long as that isn't the note you end on, it's good.

Whataburger is some good stuff. I was worried when they sold to those investors from Chicago (I think?) that it would not be as good, but they have done a great job in pretty much leaving it as it is. Don’t mess with success I guess lol.

Another good thing about Chick-Fil-A: they upped the nuggets and sauce game for the entire industry, IMO. I think they were one of the first ones to do whole-meat nuggets while everyone else was doing the processed stuff (I still eat those, too, full disclosure). But they were the first fast food place I went to that started offering buffalo sauce. Burger King and McDonalds have followed, but the buffalo sauce at CFA is way better.

Yeah, it was Chicago. And I was worried, too, but I don't think they've actually changed any of the ingredients or anything on the menu. Not so far as I can tell, anyway. I'm a lot pickier about fries than I am about burgers.

Whataburger is pretty good. Where I live my favorites are regional...you all most likely haven't heard of them. Ron's Hamburgers for my favorit hamburger. Braum's for favorite chicken strips.

I haven't tried either, but I travel a TON for work these days, so I'll keep an eye out! I appreciate the tip. Any favorite sides at Braum's?
