I appreciate their values but..hate long lines and not a fan of their chicken. Too much garlic maybe?

I do love Chick-fil-a, but I usually prefer actual burgers if I'm going to do fast food, which is rare now days.

Just a comment on the lines though, yes the drive throughs are wrapped around the building, but Chick-fil-a has pioneered a method of efficiently moving the lines along and keeping the lines moving. It's extremely well run.

Braums is a fast food/dairy/ice cream store -and offer fresh food, cheese, produce. They limit stores to 300 miles around their oklahoma farm. It's a good fast food place with typical offerings. But I crave the chicken.

Ron's Hamburgers is in oklahoma/Arkansas. The BEST seasoned hamburgers and THE Best fries...made from fresh cut potatos.

I think, by default, all of their sandwiches come with pickles? I love pickles, but maybe it influences how they season the chicken? I'm going to season my chicken differently depending on toppings, so maybe they do the same. Just a possibility.

I will absolutely keep that in mind. I'm mostly in the Carolinas for work trips, but I do make it out to Oklahoma pretty frequently. And, as I mentioned, I'm picky about fries, so that's a good tip for me.

I feel so left out of the trend, I don't have a Chic fil A, In and Out, Whataburger, or Popeyes near me. However, I've eaten at Chic Fil A before and I remember it was good but if I had to pick the best chicken fast food, it would be Raising Cains, which I also don't have one near me. All we have is McD's, BK, and Wendys (and it's an hour away.)

I will eat meat, infrequently. So, I can't call myself a vegetarian. Poultry is not on the infrequent list. I haven't intentionally eaten that since I was twelve. There was one accidental consumption, when I thought the chicken salad that I tried at an event was tuna salad.

I used to eat at this one Chick Fil A a lot. It was OK but I couldn't take the Jesus music.
Best Chicken I ever had was Royal Farms. Shame they don't do nuggets

I've seen raising cains mentioned, el pollo loco, and a few others. no one comes even close to cfa. their chicken salad is about all I can eat with this proper diet and they do great. cains has too much breading and crappy sauce, IMO.

As far as fast food goes chick FIL a is the highest quality. Never had in and out. I remember saying fussing a few years back because the wrapper had Bible verses on it.

I found this confusing because the same people having a problem with Bible verses would have no issue with Quran versus on the rappers.

I think some people just get bored and dream of nonsense to complain about.

No I like raising Cane's butt the one I go to may just be different there's not much breading at all I like that. I personally love the sauce. But the most important they serve crinkle cut fries the only kind of fries if you don't like crinkle cat friends you are literally Hitler and you should be stoned to death.

    Stop cirnklephobia

you got it right on those fries, I don’t get that often but they have a proper dusting and I’ll stand with you this one! Too bad we don’t get a lesser breading, I’m jelly.

That said one of my favorite friends and one of my mma students for 8 years, I was the father figure for her wedding to her gf, and where do they want to go every time we eat? CFA. They’re like **** politics these people make great chicken!

Yes, bought out by a Chicago company recently. There are 3 WB's near me, two of them suck most of the time, high turnover, but one is pretty good and consistent at both breakfast and lunch times during the week, not so good evenings and weekends. This points to better than average local management at that one compared to the other two.

I think many of them may still be locally owned franchises, as opposed to many of the fast food places that are owned by corporations that own many franchises of different kinds; some of those will own dozens of food franchises, and would be no different than a conglomerate run assembly line. I think Mickey D's was buying back a lot of its franchises and running them in house, at least they were some years ago. Their fries used to be great, but not any more. Quality is crap at the two near me. Same for Jack in the Box and Burger King; haven't eaten the latter 3 in years. Tex Mex quality has gone to **** the last 10 years around here, too. Spend a lot or a little, can't tell the difference they seem to all use the same grease.

Don't do fast food chicken or much at home either, so can't say anything about Chick Fila except the lines speak for themselves at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If I was crazy enough to buy a franchise that would be be my first choice.

I feel the same way. I eat there once in a while with my partner and he's the same sex as me. Meritocracy is a thing. And that's exactly why I don't go to Starbucks. They simply charge too much for a mediocre product.

Mickey D’s nailed it with the fries but their burgers have taken a serious down turn lately.

It’s certainly not because their swill is good.

White Castle buys they highest grade beef for their burgers.

I know. Where I live the mom and pop places don’t care about calories or portion control like they do in CA and NJ. the burgers here are big and they put Hatch chilis on them, they’re similar to the Ortega chilis but with lots of heat.
