In the vast majority of cases that is what will happen. If they are still identifying as trans around puberty then they need counseling — if counseling alone isn’t effective then doctors along with the patient and their parents have different avenues to take.

Well, it looks like the age old question of how many genders there are has finally been answered.

 

Because children need to be educated into the knowledge, values and mores of the society into which they were born.

I am calling for the opposite of indoctrination — teach knowledge and tolerance. You are the only one pushing indoctrination based on your belief structure — one that you cannot even prove exists. I can prove gay people exist and that trans people exist — and have done so throughout history.

I don't think that this issue has anything to do with religion. Sex ed of any kind doesn't belong in k-5 school curriculum.

I have no issues with the LGBT "community" (though I'm not sure calling it a community is actually true), I supported gay marriage before it was cool, and before I got disabled, my wife and I went to sex parties almost every weekend. But that's adult stuff, and if I was a teacher and some 5-year-old asked me how my weekend was, I know better than to tell him about the 50-person puppy pile I was in and having "relations" with people I had never even so much as even spoken to.

Why?

Because that's adult stuff. And so is this nonsense about teaching kids that young about gender identity, or homosexuality, aside from the fact that it's a completely fine and normal thing if one or more of their friends has two mommies or daddies. It's simply not appropriate for kids that age.

This used to be something I would not have needed to point out. It used to be such normal common knowledge that if someone suggested it, they might just have law enforcement called on them.

 

This idea that:

99.2% = .8% is stupidity at its height.

The concept that we will insert curriculum on the 99% so the 1% feel "included" at the detriment of the 99%

Traditional values are not a bad thing, in fact, if 99% of people align with those values maybe it's the 1% that is misguided.
