I'm afraid both of you will be disappointed:

He has tried to shell and hide his money. Before this trial began.

At the very least, he needs to come out of this a pauper.

I even emphasized the word SHOULD, as it is a personal opinion.
    NOT a legal charge.

I am not familiar with Jones either but if all he did was say it's fake, I don't see why that should be illegal. Or did he tell people to assault somebody etc?

I would have liked to ask him why? Why does he concede NOW that it is 100% real? Did some new evidence emerge now, 10 years later, that it all was all real and 26 children were actually killed? Didn't he claim to have irrefutable evidence?

    ahh

based upon a few posts, I thought he physically did something

who cares what any talking head says or thinks................

His saying that it was a hoax doesn't change reality. It's no different than the DNC and WH pushing the narrative that we are not in recession; it doesn't change the reality

don't give him attention and he goes away

I did no such thing. I said “should”
I was simply correcting your false statement that no one goes to jail for speech. They absolutely do

Okay. So if a person has a platform to spread lies far and wide, and in doing so it results in death threats and daily threatening behavior directed towards innocent people, you don't think there should be legal punishment for the person spreading the lies?

I will concede that Jones will not see prison time. But I think it is a failing of our judicial system. People should be held legally responsible for their actions when it results in the harm of others.

True, and in the Brandon v. Ohio ruling the SCOTUS said why one can't easily state Jones committed a crime with his speech. Same goes for al Qaeda and ISIS sympathizers who advocate waging jihad against the United States.

Trump has spread lies that have resulted in threats against election officials. People who are just doing their jobs.

There should be consequences for spreading lies like that. If not criminal, at least civil.

I think incitement to violence is an incredibly narrow charge for a good reason, and what Jones did doesn't rise to that level.

Then if you think it rises to the level of incitement, state the statute that applies, list the elements, and mate them to facts.

Gosh that's 7/8ths of 1 whole portion of the assignment!!!

    WOW!!!!

You get a 40% for that. Still an F, but we don't give participation grades in my class so you're doing better than some of the other students.

Care to try to actually get a passing grade and explain which facts meet up with those elements you referenced but did not list?

Your personal opinion is that a legal charge should issue for speech.

    Its a shitty opinion.

No, he didn't call for violence or tell people to go after the families. But he did spread vicious lies about them that resulted in violent threats.

I'm not a lawyer nor a legal expert. I'm providing my opinion - and that is that there SHOULD be legal ramifications for actions like Jones'.

No call for violence or instructions for same = not incitement, the only criminal charge available.

There are legal consequences: Defamation suits are expensive to simply defend, much less pay out on.
Add to that he has to get up on camera and say "you idiots know I'm doing a bit right? " and his livelihood is in jeopardy.

That's about as good as you're going to get.

While our economy spins down the toilet under the Biden regime, Democrats want you to pay attention to Alex Jones, the pillow guy, and an ex-President.
