Is it really that tiny? Just for perspective they want to ban Assault Rifles right? Because they have been used in most *high profile shootings* (I’m sure by media design). Yet rifles of all types (not just assault rifles) were used 364 times out of 13,900 murders in 2019. Blunt objects killed more at 397 murders. But those numbers are good enough to ban so called assault rifles.

Now let’s add another number in here. Also according to FBI statistics, Blacks account for more than half of those 13,900 murders in American even though they only hold 13 percent of the population. Far outpacing the assault rifle. So why action against the assault rifle but not against blacks. Assault rifles by percentage are also very tiny in killings compared to how many are out there but if that’s worthy of debate so is the black communities murder rate.

Lower crime rates in isolated rural areas compared to big cities goes back thousands of years. Nothing new, and same is true regardless of race.

We get it. You don't want black people around.

If I done that I would be barring my own family members. Calm your horses. I am white but I have cousins that are half white and half black and a black uncle. All of which I love. They also acknowledge the black culture in America as a problem.

I’m just saying that if this isn’t bought up it will never be addressed.

You think no one ever brought it up? You bring it up with every post you make (when you are not talking about evil transsexuals).

Well why hasn’t the conversation started then rather than all the excuses and smug comments like yours

I moved out of LA in 2015 to a rural area in the Ozark mountains in north AR. However, I'm well familiar with Covington.

You're missing the point. Previous poster said the problem was gun owners. Where I live, we're all gun owners yet there is no violent crime here so the problem is not gun owners. Wonder what it is?

The cities are insane. Too many people. No way everyone can get along in that sense of populations. I really don’t know how anyone can live in a city but I’m glad they do. I like my small area I hope it always stays that way.

Who do you think is doing all the shooting in the cities? Is it the owners, or guns firing on their own?

Didn't I just explain it? Even in ancient city of Rome there was more crime than in the countryside. Always been, always will be.

And another dodge. We do talk about it but those who want to enable it never do just as you are ignoring it right now. Not to surprising really

I would assume people are doing it. Do you think if you took their guns away, they would just opt to stay home and play games?

Wow… that one blew over your head. She’s saying the commonality of just being a *gun owner* is not the reason for gun violence. Many gun owners are law abiding

The -huge majority- of gun owners are law abiding.

Oh, you believe in government fixing everything. Got it.

Sure, many are, and many are not. Are you saying criminal gun owners are not to blame for what they do? If so, then who do you blame?

No. They'd still be on the streets, but without their guns. Maybe they'd settle their disputes with old fashioned fist fights as opposed to "capping asses".

So, if you want people dead but you don't have a gun, what else is in the drawer in the kitchen?

That was a response to his apparent bewilderment about why black people don't like criticism. I didn't see why it should be a surprise, either.

This is his second murder charge, he was awaiting trial when he did this.

but don’t blame the guy, it’s the guns fault.
