Well, the Establishment Survey, which counts JOBS says that we have gained 1,680 thousand jobs since March, BUT, the Household survey which counts employed persons says we have LOST 168 thousand jobs since March:

Something snapped in the job market in March.

These lines will eventually converge. Voters know the truth of their circumstances.

Well, only because it includes the adding back of all the jobs lost from COVID government shutdowns. We are almost back to the # of jobs before COVID. AND EVEN WITH this unprecedented adding back of jobs lost, Real GDP growth is still negative for 2 quarters.

Yeah, now everyone can get two or three jobs in order to buy gas.....hahaha!

Biden and the democrats have wrecked the economy. A fluke month of jobs numbers is meaningless when a recession is beginning.

Sure the recession will be 4 months then full fledged depression will kick in. The Democrat's cooked jobs numbers are meaningless.

If Biden said he has nothing to do with unemployment and inflation, why should he deserve credit? Should he credit Putin instead?

Americans $25B deeper in consumer debt just since January.

The tax refunds helped briefly, but then the pain instantly returned.

I'm sure they are tired of it now. Biden and the Dems inflation costs the average family $500/mo more for the same things they were buying before, if you don't want to run up the credit cards, you have to get more work.

I'm glad to see you on this thread.

You who claimed that the unemployment rate would rise.

512.000 jobs in one month, that must not fit with your economic theories.

    Failed argument….

Think it's great people are finding work but it's a two edge sword meaning more money being spent will only add to inflation. What causes inflation is not rocket science.

It’s amazing how many people take this good news and try to find a way to make it seem bad.

Yep, they are quite sore when ANY positive economic news is revealed. They've literally bought into the MAGA propaganda that Trump is the ONLY one who can make their lives better. It's quite interesting, considering that the traditional conservative attitude was that if you want to improve your life, you have to better yourself by working harder. Instead, Trump has convinced them that he can make them rich without them lifting a finger. Something for nothing, as if that has ever worked.

That's a good jobs report, and yes fuel prices are falling. Now, if we could curb the inflation we might just get out of thus recession.

Not being a Trump supporting rightist puts that posters knowledge far superior to a trumpist.

How are you going to curb inflation? You know, the money that has been printed in the last decades under EVERY president can't be unprinted. The ONLY tool is for the Fed to raise interest rates. Doing this without causing a recession is the trick. If they can pull it off is anyone's guess.
