A pronoun follows specific rules in the English language

This can be entirely avoided by simply calling the child their legal name. That said this doesn’t have anything to do with children as the same people upset here are upset when adults legally change their name and gender.

There's nothing Conservative about my position, so that's a bust. I suspect you've made this mistake because you're afixed to an old binary trope, itself a purely Eurocentric artifact.

Pragmatists (of my ilk - aka collectivists) come in every flavour of the political spectrum. Rightists, Leftists, Centrists, and Anarchists. Pragmatism is a global tradition because it's the default for social mammals. The hippy living in a self-sufficient community, must put pragmatics and obligation first as much as the Amish do. The SE Asian villager is just as pragmatic as the German farmer.

Xi absolutely is in the dictionary … sigh … it’s a middle school grade level — maybe that’s the issue?

    Pragmatics. Exactly. Whatever works.

People don't generally live like that anymore. They have big machines to do the work of a thousand.

Having one's personal identity is important. Being personal, it is also unique. It must therefore be solid enough that it is sufficient unto itself. In other words, being unique means not being the same as everyone else and, therefor, nor dependent upon others for one's identity. Insisting that all around one conform to one's unique concept of one's self is at least absurd, at worst an illness.

Just use "they", "them", "you" and the still accepted gender neutral "one".
    The rest is nonsense.

Actually the scientific side doesn’t give two shits about he/she. Just x and y.

Interesting stuff. The overriding theme seems to be not enough time in the day for women to fully blossom as parents and also as career women.

The article on the mental health of students is overly focused on minorities. It doesn't really seem to pinpoint why their mental health is declining.

I fell into a severe depression as a young student. This saved me: https://www.tm.org/

Plus plenty of part-time work and study.

Working day and night is a recipe for burnout and disaster (though some people can do really well if they are supported and if they're upbringing was a very healthy environment one.) I think the overarching theme is unnatural living. Ridiculous working hours, living in a concrete jungle. Out of touch with food production. Etc.

I like the Scandinavian models of structured community living, reduced working hours, shared parenting. Focus on quality time not just career & money. Local food production. I meditate daily and exercise regularly and make sure I have lots of time to unwind. I can do the full-time work gig but after a few weeks I feel like I'm being suffocated. I can literally feel my blood pressure going up. So that's why I try and go for project work.

Correction… X, Y, And male and female. Find me one scientific study that doesn’t associate chromosomes with sex.

And what good did it serve in the grand scheme of things acceptance of all these anomalies?

    True points! For example:

PHALLOPHOBIA RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD: College students upset at ‘phallic’ sculpture coming to campus.

"It doesn’t look especially phallic to me, but what’s wrong with “an erect penis” anyway? Are you bigoted against people with penises? What about women with penises? Why do you hate women?"

The art that provoked outrage in these privileged young people:

That is for a complete transitioning however and is based on studies of GD. That isn’t just for calling anyone by a gender neutral pronoun

Furthermore that also ignores those 15% that do not desists which is why I support minor accommodation but not major items such as medical and hormonal treatment.

    And how about xyr?

Your fictional rule is broken in just that one example, so mine wins by being more English.

Let's not forget that it's ALL made up.

Identity is a negotation, and that's in the best circumstances.

The individual has no control over how others will view them, or even speak to them. DEMANDING that control is the problem. That's the source of the trouble.

Indeed. This is the root cause of much of it.

In the Age of Narcissism, it's to be expected that more will fall victim to it.

The vast majority of humans still live collectively - it's only the richer First World West which doesn't.
