From what I understand, the economic and non economic damages have no caps. This portion of the lawsuit accounted for $4 million. The punitive damages do have a cap because a felony was not involved.

 

why do you keep misrepresenting what I have said? Where have I apologized for Jones? do you constantly misrepresent what others say because you cannot actually intelligently debate their actual points?

That only applies when the judge renders its final judgment per the law if the facts and circumstances apply. However, because Jones was sued personally and because one of the allegations was possible criminal activity, then the limit may not apply.

When the judge signs the final order, that is when the limit may or may not apply per Civil Code 41.008. Once it is signed, then the person can appeal. Usually, trial civil courts do not give rulings on the matter.

Yep because it encouraged people to literally terrorize parents grieving for their murdered children. Actually raping then killing small kids would be the worst, killing small children next then terrorizing the parents of those children third. Mass random murders and slavery are after them.
