Not exactly. The idea, like in Agenda 21 is to have everyone living in high rise urban buildings, not in suburbia or rural, and riding bicycles. They want to keep the land for parks and agriculture but want it all under government control and administration. They are knocking on a few doors as we speak in this regard, primarily (currently) through zoning restrictions.

The Socialist Dictatorship of Commiefornia is having water issues though (which will turn into electricity issues), because they don't collect any of it as they should (might kill some sea turtle or something) and they already have Lake Mead pretty well drained due to their electricity demand (they can't run on wind mills and solar panels alone).

We should be more open to Canada's oil pipeline projects that they need, because in time we, and Mexico, would greatly benefit from water projects that transit Canada. In time...

Yes, CA's war on trucks makes the utilization of LA/Long Beach Harbor a challenge and that has national impact.

It's likely well past time to make better use of Seattle's Puget Sound and the Panama Canal and our Gulf Coast Harbors. Anytime CA is the only game in town it's going to be a problem. They love the whip hand and being uncooperative.

China gained control of the Panama Canal back in the 90's... Clinton had a hand in it.

I assume they still have control - I haven't followed the issue since we lost that battle.

Ultimately, one of their logical intermediate goals is to create enough suffering among the people that they clamor for the government to "do something".

Artificial shortages and rationing are a logical step for them.

There is an entire system of trucking at the CA state line where Owner/Operators who refuse to operate in CA, drop loads, that are then picked up by CA drivers. The CA drivers drop the load they brought to the stateline and pick up the dropped load, and so on.

This is an expansion of a process that was already in place as truckers can't take triples into CA, they have to be reduced to double trailers.
