It might be wise to wait until more FACTS come out that are are result of this search............before getting into a knee jerk reaction ........like immediately deciding to vote for him because of this event.

The law may work at a snails pace......but it does work in a democracy.

The process is slow..........and that does not seem to satisfy the "instant gratification " gang.

The reality is that if he (T) had played by the rules , he would not have been impeached twice, and have all these investigations going on about him. He is the author of his own consequences.

How quickly one forgets the Locker her up shrill from Trump and his cult.And yes..it is a cult.........as there is no other explanation for the blind devotion his supporters have for him. That alone is un democratic.

 

As I said, and have said many times before every time that Trump was being excoriated for something, anything, everything imaginable by radical Democrats who have hated his guts ever since 2016, if (IF) there is cause for him to be charged with crime(s), then that effort should go forth with full force and focus. Arrest him! Charge him with specific crimes! Make him answer the charges in a court of law! And, if he is found guilty of mishandling classified information -- or doing anything else that is, indeed, an actual crime -- then mete out punishment as prescribed by LAW.

I've written so many posts over the years describing how and why what Hillary Clinton did was a flat-out breaking of the laws governing the mandatory handling of classified information, when it is transmitted, received, archived, or retransmitted. Search the posts up, if you are interested. And know this -- even though I was only the holder to two relatively 'low-level' top-secret security clearances during my working life, if I had done what Hillary Clinton is KNOWN to have done, I would have had my 'tickets' yanked, I'd have been fired, I'd have been fined at least $10,000, and I might very well have done prison time.... How much worse should it have been for someone who held the very HIGHEST security clearances in the United States...?

* Epilogue * -- I'll be content to see Donald Trump in a jump suit and in a prison cell -- when Hillary is similarly attired and in the cell right next to his!

 

You are assuming they care about the facts. Clearly they don't or they would reserve judgement.

And they are ignoring that a judge had to approve this; meaning evidence of a crime and just cause for the search at that location.

How many judges do you think would want to be the first to issue a search warrant on a former president, and have no reason for doing so?

Trump should have had Clinton's house raided looking for her lost emails because that is what a dictator does. Oh wait, isn't that what Biden is doing to Trump? Whose the dictator again? IF Trump runs and is elected again..........he will spend most of his term getting revenge for anyone and everyone that he believes offended him...(like the bully he is)..........It will be messy to the extreme. I understand the emotional reaction. Long after trump is gone, you have this powerful beast, whose hungry eyes may be looking at you one day. Trump has the money to defend himself. The average person has no chance.

 

Agree but this is what's so disturbing about the DOJ and FBI in this deal. They should have laid out for the American public it wasn't a political ploy, they were looking for specific things that violated the law and wasn't a fishing expedition. Those of us closer to the middle have always said if he broke the law arrest him. This looks more like the pattern we've seen over and over, they act, not ready to answer hard questions, then they step all over themselves trying to defend the stupid. Right now, the DOJ is saying we were working to get some documents back to the National Archives, not critical, not property, not damaging but documents, and the talks broke down. They should be saying we could've done a federal subpoena but didn't because of X, they didn't. They can't say they were worried Trump would destroy; he wasn't even there for god's sake. All they've done is create questions about their tactics. They better come up with something that sticks very soon.

 

There will be a civil war and likely WWIII.

 

And now Garland can tell everyone exactly what that evidence was. This is not the FISA court and this is not a national security issue. Like Comey explaining his reason for investigating Clinton Garland needs to explain his reason for raiding Trump's home. We should have heard something from him by now.

All classified, declassified, letters, notes, gifts over a certain amount $$$ etc are to remain with the archivists when a president leaves office.
There also are protocols in place with the archivists on deciding what goes into one's presidential library,
Nothing is to leave the WH with the president.
Trump had once claimed that what he took was for his presidential library..that is a big no-no.
