Obviously he can’t testify, he’d just perjur himself. The funny part is the hypocrisy

Yah look at all the times they charged him….
What crime has he been charged with that shows they’re out to get him?

I made no claim of his guilt. I suggested, as a legal standard, that you aren't required under the law to testify. You can use the standard of self incrimination. Its in the F'in constitution. Do you not like that? You believe you know something? Report it to the NY AG.

I am more baffled by the TDS crowd and the lengths you will go to get Trump the law and constitution be damned. It's been serious for a LONG time you take it as such and stop denying the reality. You have no crime Trump has committed and the FBI worked in cahoots with his political opposition to create false narratives about him to start investigations which all pooped out like a dog doing their squat.

Remember this case had been dropped for lack of evidence by the Manhattan district attorney. The grand jury ended and nothing. This state AG who RAN on the promise she would get Trump no matter what then took it up civilly, she could not criminally, to try and force him into this deposition in her witch hunt to try and find SOMETHING...........ANYTHING to get him.

Why should he help her out?

Can you? Better question is should you. Government has the obligation, not the individual. How hard is that to understand for you? Government might say, erroneously, anything. We know that lots of the bureaucracy feel they shouldn't have to follow the law, and are, and have been willing to make things up before. And just because someone doesn't take the bait, your assumption is that they are guilty? Even though they profess their innocence? That seems pejorative of you.

You know what else is funny?

Trump Derangement Syndrome transcends time and space....

I believe that people who don’t have anything to hide, don’t take the fifth. Yes, if you can’t testify without lying or admitting crimes, you definitely shouldn’t.

I'm looking where are they? That they failed doesn't mean it was for lack of effort, it means they never had anything.

Trump recently said drug dealers should be executed, now you and he claim the govt makes up things and plants evidence. You don’t see a disconnect here?

So they’re malicious but not so malicious that they would even charge him with a crime? That makes sense to you?

Hmm.. Martha Stewart didn't think she had anything to hide, look how that turned out.... Innocent people go to jail because thirsty prosecutors want to hang famous people they don't like all the time. Do you subscribe to the "elections have consequences" theory too? Hope so.

Hmm.. so, in your mind, drug dealers that end up killing folks because they use the drugs they bought from the dealers shouldn't be prosecuted, and executed should they meet a federal or state capital crime offense? Do you feel like drug dealers are the angels of mercy here? You seem to have an internal conflict inside of your own narrative.

So. Trump pleads the 5th and refuses to participate in political theatre. Shocking. I tell. Shocking.

    Maybe

Maybe liberals should work to eliminate the 5th ammendment as well as the 2nd. lol

Of course common law prior to the US Constitution did not force self incrimination and for those who know history this was to prevent confessions based on torture.

Your response isn't either logically, or grammatically correct. sorry, no points for effort today.

I didn't address it. why is it important for you to lie about what I actually did say? I understand you have no actual argument and just want to continue to derail it by deflecting away from it. Can you admit to that?

Hmm.. So you deny there is also a Southern district of NY case? Seems you forgot about that. And would you suggest that because, "Trump" he doesn't deserve to be protected by the same law you and I are?

Nobody is saying he doesn’t have the right to plead the fifth. He does. I think it was smart of him to do so.

But it’s fun to point out his hypocrisy.

I despise Trump, but I can’t rightly criticize his decision to take the fifth. Assuming that a person is guilty for their decision to not self-incriminate is a dangerous precedent to set. “If you’ve got nothing to hide…” and all that jazz.
