    Trump Hires 'Billion Dollar Lawyer'

ATLANTA — Amid a deepening swirl of federal and state investigations, former President Donald Trump has hired a high-powered Atlanta lawyer to represent him in an inquiry into election interference in Georgia.

The lawyer, Drew Findling, has represented an array of rap stars including Cardi B, Gucci Mane and Migos, and is known by the hashtag #BillionDollarLawyer.

But he has not been a fan of Trump; in one 2018 post on Twitter, after Trump criticized LeBron James, Findling referred to Trump as “the racist architect of fraudulent Trump University.” In 2017, after Trump fired the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, Preet Bharara, Findling said on Twitter that it was “a sign of FEAR that he would aggressively investigate the stench hovering over this POTUS.”

A clear hallmark of an innocent man. I hope the RNC is paying those billions of dollars on his behalf. Wouldn't want the High Gains Grifter to have to pay for his own legal defense.

So you think if someone's innocent they should not retain legal counsel?

A simple yes or no will be sufficient

I really hope the RNC will stop paying his legal bills. After all, he is a billionaire and should have the money to pay for such services, not acting like a poor person with all that land, property, and money that he likes to brag about.

Yeah, you would like that, wouldn't you?

I'll be sure to hire the 'billion dollar lawyer' if I'm ever falsely accused of a crime.

This lawyer is going to have a lot work ahead of him, not sure if Trump will be smart enough to keep his mouth shut, albeit he did with the latest court room.

As you support a more aggressive IRS and bigger government, just know that people like trump can afford to defend themselves while the working class and poor have to throw themselves on the mercy of this monster.

The working poor have pretty basic taxes, not much to audit when it’s just your paycheck coming in.

IRS Audits Poorest Families at Five Times the Rate for Everyone Else
A large increase in federal income tax audits targeting the poorest wage earners allowed the Internal Revenue Service to keep overall audit numbers from further declines for Americans as a whole during FY 2021. That resulted in these low-income wage earners with less than $25,000 in total gross receipts being audited at a rate five times higher than for everyone else.

They and his faithfully lost flock. The RNC can't afford for him to further destroy the R party by splitting it off and lose his far RW fringe to his spin off progeny. He's leveraging all ends.

In the other thread, you supported/excused expanded government power.

I simply don't object to the IRS having more funding for enforcement. What's wrong with the IRS collecting what it's legally obligated to collect?

Too much power and it disproportionately affects the poor and those without trumps resources. The rich can afford good accountants and lawyers.

They've been directed to focus on those making $400,00 and over. You know full well you're whining about nothing just for the sake of whining, spreading partisan misinformation just to be a pest.

In order for justice to be served, everyone should have access to a billion dollar lawyer, including those prosecuting trump.

And they are going to double down on that with their new agents. They are going to tax the working class more to subsidize electric cars for the rich

High-Income Returns Escape Audit Because IRS Not Hiring Enough Revenue Agents
A critical limitation in the IRS’s ability to audit millionaires is the availability of IRS revenue agents. Only this class of auditors, given sufficient training and experience, are qualified to examine complex tax returns – the types of returns typically filed by high-income individuals and large-scale businesses.

glad to see your support of hiring more agents to reduce this disparity.

If you click the link you’ll see lack of agents is the reason there is a disparity. I’d be fine with having a minimum income for audits.

They want to ensure that is all they really made. How many people do you suppose hide income? And how many people can actually live on 25k a year? You can't even pay rent with that in most cities now. If that is all they made then there is nothing to audit. It's not like they are taking deductions on investment properties.

    This isn't rocket science.

Democrats better hope and pray that they found something. And they also better hope and pray that if they had to fabricate something that it's not found out.

So, Trump hired a lawyer. Why is that a problem?
